Default Need help finding...

I've just spent the better part of today searching all over the internet for something and used different means of describing it and that didn't help.

A while ago I saw a tutorial on making a neat journal that had pockets and a calendar for each month of the year and cards were placed in these pockets so the person would be able to send a card to the person on their birthday without having to go shopping for one. Not sure if that helps define what I'm looking for but...

Has anyone seen something like this? I'm thinking it might have been a u-tube tutorial while I was looking for something else but even my search there hasn't helped - guess I need to know the right name for it.

Your topic peaked my interest. What I've found is:
http://www.avalanchepub.com/category...s_with_pockets
http://www.journalbooks.com/options/8/vinyl-pockets

I doubt these are quite what you're looking for - but, especially that calendar, looks like something even I can make.

Wow, Linda! You're amazing. That looks cool.

Oh--and more thing--I took all mine to Office Max and they did the coil for about $1.75 a book. I made 15 of the things but I did not have the rubicoil thing until now.

53queenbee... thank you so much - that's the one I had in mind. And thanks for the tip about taking it to an office supply store for the binding. Here, we have Staples that will do it. But I've been trying to convince myself that I really need the Bind-It-All so this may just be the deciding factor. How do you like the system you have?

I'm pretty sure Stampin' Up carried something like this in the Winter Mini Catalog for 2009. I'm not on my home computer right now but if you email me I can see if I have one to make you a template.

The email address you sent me doesn't work. Please drop me a line at [email protected] and I'll send you what I have.

Thanks,
Amy

Sorry I did not see this until this evening (it is Thurs about eight pm in Dallas)

I have only used it once and I really do like it. It was very easy to do. I bought it at a stamp show in Dallas from Inky Antics (I hope that is the name!) and it punches right through layer of card stock. i will try to find a link.

CarlaCraft Binding System

Finally, a spiral coil binding system that is portable, inexpensive, and super easy to operate! Make your own journals, address books, calendars, and more. Spiral coils are great because the pages lie completely flat when opened, and the cover can be turned underneath the book.

This is from the website. It is like about $30. I'd do it again. It was a good purchase. I just have not done what I wanted to do with it yet.
