I'm working on my Christmas card design using the Delightful Decorations set and punch. However, I'm not satisfied with the two ideas I have so far. They have to be relatively simple and relatively flat since I'm sending 100 or so but need "something". I'd love some suggestions on how to improve them. Here's a link to one of them:
I totally agree with the above posters! I love your card and your colors! To make it a WOW, I would recommend adding some bling (small stick-on silver pearls or rinestones)
IN ADDITION I would add some silver cording coming from the top and hiding behind to make the ornaments appear they are hanging. (If you want to go farther you could glue a small silver bow on the top of each ornament too, but you wouldn't need to).
Definitely use Taken with Teal to stamp your sentiment and you could add a line of piercing on the TWT strip.
OR... add bling, add two pieces of silver cord from the top, stamp your sentiment in twt and add silver cording with a bow on top of the TWT piece.
Valerie--That is so cute and you cut so well! I literally failed cutting in the first grade. I also failed coloring. I remember my parents were so upset! That card is really nice.
I like both cards, but prefer the second design. Like the previous posters, I agree that the could be improved with a touch of bling. I'd also like to a string of some kind on your ornaments, whether you pierce, stamp, or draw them on is up to you. Great job so far!
Another suggestion is to emboss the white CS that you are layering everything on top of. You could use the CB swirls as I think it would pair nicely with the ornaments.
Hi! I would try putting INK on the edges of the main panel and also the tag. My humble opinion.
Other than that, love the colors you chose! Great card!
On a tutorial video, one of our great stampers kept saying, "NO NAKED EDGES." Each time she added a tag or a layer of CS to her card, she would sponge the edges and repeat the same phrase... "No naked edges."
Ever since seeing what a difference her sponging made, I try to remember to do that. When I forget, I can really notice. Even on designer papers, I try to add a bit of ink to the edges.
I like them both a lot! I think that as others have posted, you need to have a little more texture on the base, either by embossing with a folder or by using textured cardstock.
Another suggestion is to emboss the white CS that you are layering everything on top of. You could use the CB swirls as I think it would pair nicely with the ornaments.
I agree with this, Adding texture to the white cardstock would be perfect.

Cute! If you want to make it go faster how about just put the two ornaments but turn it long way and pop them up with pop dots...maybe add a bit of bling on them...then just put the sentiment inside...It would be a more of a CAS card and alot faster on you!

I was thinking maybe add a subtle design with a background stamp to the white panel, nothing to distract from the ornaments, but just make it pop? I also love your color combo.
I would add some silver elastic cord to the ornaments, some bling like the other posters have said and... Stamp the sentiment in a darker color like the red or blue so it stands out more.
Very cute cards! You've done a great job on them. Do you have any embossing folders for the white panel? Swiss dots would look cute, it's relatively simple to look at so it wouldn't overpower the adorable ornaments. Or what about the Sizzix dots folder? It's in a different pattern and more spread out so it's not as busy.
