Default Milk Card

OK at the risk of sounding too new, what is Milk Card?? I am pretty new to stamping and I love all the projects I am seeing here, but I have seen a reference or two to cards that were stamped on milk card. What is that?

Hi and welcome to Splitcoast Chandler!

I moved your question to the General Stamping forum where more people will see it. I don't know the answer to your question so I'll wait for an answer too .

Please let me know if you need help with anything on the site.

I'm not sure where you saw the term so I don't know if this is what they were referring to... but generally MILK is an acronym for M.I.L.K - Moments of Intimacy, Laughter and Kinship cards.

Welcome to SCS forums. This is a GREAT place to get inspiration and answers. ;)

Just remembered that there is a stamp company called MilkCoffee Stamps. Maybe they are referring to cards made with those stamps...

I never heard of this so had to take a look. Most of the Google results show old black and white photos along with sayings or quotations. Pretty cool actually:

MILK Cards | MILK Greeting Cards | MILK Greeting Card Collection

All it made me think of was the "milk card" we had in elementary school that you'd buy ahead and then have punched each day when you picked up your milk at lunch, lol!

Thanks for trying to answer my question. Here is the link that refers to Milk Card she does beautiful work. I left a comment asking her and I think maybe it is a brand name of something but haven't heard back. If I find out I will pass it on.

I think she is referring to the color of the card stock---White. In one description she said she embpssed the background on "milk coloured card"

After reading her blog, I'd have to agree. It sounds like it is simply how she describes the color of the cardstock. Perhaps it is a common description in the UK?

There is also a cardstock with this name: Milk Card Stock - 8 1/2 x 11 in 111 lb Cover Touch Soft | Curious Touch Card Stock 3-CUR141

Thanks for clarifying with the additional information.

I was just going to chime in with a similar answer. It appears to be a colour of cardstock and a British item.
