I love reading all the posts from everyone and looking at the wonderful cards people make. I can sit here playing on the computer all day and not have any urge to work on my cards at all. Even if I go into my craft room and try to get something done it seems like I just can't get motivated and think of anything creative to do.
Usually about 10:00 just when I should be going to bed I suddenly get this urge to start working on my cards. The later it gets the more ideas I get and the more I feel like working.
Am I the only one up in the middle of the night working on my projects? Am I just crazy? I think I need a new internal clock.
I am at my most creative between 10 pm and 2 am. Going to bed at 3 and getting up at 11 works really well for me, now that I'm retired. I've never been a morning person.
Same happens to me:confused: Once I lay my head down on the pillow, my creativity starts to spin! However, this happens to me when I'm at work:rolleyes:

I am glad to hear I am not the only one, especially when it comes to playing on my computer all day and no creative urge. My urge usually hits Sunday night, when I have Monday morning work to look forward to.

Dianne, we are sisters from another mother. My schedule is just like yours. I've always been a night owl!
I'm retired now and just adore staying up late and sleeping in. All those years I was working from 8 to 5, I still stayed up late....and had to get up early. I did it, but looking back I sure didn't like it.

I do most of my card making between 10:00 PM and 2:00 AM and I have to get up at 6:30every weekday to get the kids to school and to be a work. I can't do any crafting until I get my kids in bed. They are night owls too. My 2 year-old won't go to sleep until 9:30 or 10:00 and my 12 year-old is usually still doing homework until then. I do sometimes craft during my lunch time since I have my own office that I can lock myself in.
Im the opposite I sit at a desk all day at work and all I want to be doing is crafting yet when I get home I really cant be bothered :S
I have the same problem - I'm at work all day and all I want to do is scrapbook and make cards. But then by the time I get home, make dinner, clean up, pack a lunch for the next day, etc. I can't seem to get any craft time in. And the little time I do have I'm on here, reading the forums and looking at everyone elses wonderful creations!!
Well, it's early morning here (around 12:45 am EDT), and here I am, at my computer, uploading photos to my gallery and generally surfing the forums (I just created a gallery yesterday - I really held off because I didn't think my things were that great, and not worthy of being seen in the same place as all the fabulous artists out there, but I figured that several years from now it should be good for a laugh or two!). I really should go to bed, as I have to be up at 6 tomorrow, but hey - sleep is for when you are dead, right??
Got some new toys today, and am itching to practice with them, but now that my pictures are all in, I think I might just step away from the computer and the scrapping table, and say goodnight!

I too do my best at midnight. I have always worked that way and my brother is very much an early bird and thinks I'm lazy because I "sleep in". Drives me nuts.
I tend to want to work late in the night too, partly because I'm naturally a night owl, and partly because it takes a little while to get relaxed enough for the ideas to start moving.
