I guess it would depend on what your message is. I have used the SU Like a Latte; Winged Things; Bronc Buster; Nobel Deer; Lighthouse and Loads of Love for the guys I send cards to ( DH,BIL, Dad, and Granddad). Just a few suggestions. Maybe rather than buying a set that you are not sure you will use to its full potential, you should look into an Image Wish Rak. Just a suggestion.

We have a racoon sketch that works great for guy cards...
Here's a link to a blog post with a sample card if you want to check it out. http://charactercafe.blogspot.com/20...-card-new.html
Be forewarned, it's a digi image though.
Also, if I'm not allowed to post this, sorry. Still learning
I know FLourishes released a masculine set recently. Cars, bikes. I have Snoopy in a car and Snoopy in a plane, which I think work for a lot of guys. Stampabilities make the Snoopy stamps, and I think I got mine from HM stamps. Nature style. I know it's retired, but I just got In the Wild recently for ATCs and discovered it's great for masculine cards.
You could try doing a search in the gallery with masculine as your search word - a lot of people include it in the keywords, and get ideas from that. Texture is good, too, and hardware. I know I have more than one guy card in my stock with little or no stamping on it.
Men are pretty easy really:mrgreen:. Trees, leaves, some flowers, animals (I use the wild animal stamps), timepieces, compass, lighthouses, etc. I think most things work if you use the right colors and don't use a lot of ribbons and sparklies.

antique car and truck from Tim Holtz (see my project here)
I got the Tim Holtz stamps at Michaels (a clear stamp set), and I got the Blue Ridge Impressions directly from them when I was vacationing nearby. (Their website is here and you can mail order. I highly recommend this company!)
I've used Artifacts (a retired set) and Lighthouse (another retired set) to make some masculine birthday cards. I also like animal themes and more earthy and neutral colours for my masculine wishes.

I got a Dale Ernhardt stamp from Custer's Last Stand. Rubberstamp Avenue has some nice male stamps, I have gotten western ones there. Impression obsession has some nice scenery stamps as well as Stampscapes. Heartfelt Creations has a nice variety, too.
I have actually used Enjoy Every Moment (spots and words, not the flowery stamps) and Spot On Wheel to make a male card. I combined it with Earth Elements and Brushed metallic card stock. Quick, clean and simple.
I posted a question similar to this last month. Still having problems trying to make masucline cards. Mom was after me today again to make some masculine note cards. I wish the stamp companies would get in gear and add more sets to their lines. I mean come on how many flower, hearts, etc. do you really need.
Wow there are some wonderful suggestions here, I'm going to have to check them all out. I don't use a lot of themed stamps for guys. One set that I use a lot of is Papertrey Ink's Guide Lines set for making my own backgrounds. then I use a plain, large sentiment on top. http://www.papertreyink.com/stamps_guidelines.html

Most of the men in my circle aren't into fishing, boating, hot-rod cars, golf, hunting, or motorcycles. Actually, the ones I know enjoy art, music, and beautiful nature scenes.
I would like to share this link as an alternative to the above subjects for masculine-appropriate cards and see what you all think.
I love the new "pendant park" set in the SU catalog... You could totally get away with it for a man's card. The one I made turned out fairly masculine... (eek, this is the first card i'm uploading to SCS.... be gentle!)
