I was just looking at a tutorial of how to do clouds with ink and torn paper towels. The tutorial link is the last word, CLOUDS, in the photo details of this gorgeous card by patsmethers:
Edited to add: The tutorial is by shulsart, who has an awesome gallery here on SCS. You can certainly find beautiful inspiration in her gallery: shulhart

Oh and if you haven't checked out Michelle Zindorf's gallery and tutorials...go now! It's a MUST SEE!!! Here's a link to one of her outstanding cards and the link to her tutorials is in the photo details:
Here is a video tutorial using inks by Bev Rochester. And if you look at this link, Bev has a free cloud template for your to download. Here are 2 cards by Bev which has this type of background - at this link here.
Hope this helps.

Reason: had the wrong link
I love to add clouds to card designs. I just punched out a scalloped circle in a couple of sizes and used them to sponge around. Super simple. But I did take a look at these other beautiful creations to find some different looks to try. All are wonderful! Glad someone asked.
Beate, that tutorial is wonderful! I don't know how I missed it. This is exactly the look I want for some of my cards. Thank you for posting a link to it.
i have followed Bev's tutorial but used cheap shaving brushes from what you in the states call the drugstore. they work fine and i'll upload the results ot my blog tomorrow.
