Default A little tip if you order on line....

Be carfeul when you order coordinating things from two different sources because one of them will come at least 4 days before the other...

Like say ( and this is TOTALLY a hypothetical situation here:rolleyes

For instance...Let us say you ordered Flower Soft from one store because it is on sale there but order the Flower Soft Glue( that You need for the FLOWER SOFT) from a different source because it was out of stock at the store you bought the Flower Soft from. You may or may not get said items at least 4-5 business days ( bar weekends or random holidays) apart. I didn't do this ;) BUT I know someone that now has 4 (FOUR) containers of Flower Soft sitting on their desk looking very bored because the glue needed to use it is in a package "still in transit".

So please learn from this persons mistake.

I'm so sorry for ...ahem... your friend! Because Flower Soft literally begs to be fluffed and played with.

Bless her!

If you have any high-tack PVA glue handy (like Aleene's), that works great and dries super quickly. Regular white glue (like Elmer's) will settle a bit on you.

You could make a shaker card... just don't sprinkle it in your Cadbury cream!

Flower Soft also works well on high tack tape (like Scor-tape). Just squish it into the tape a bit to get it to grab. It makes a fun fluffy border that way.

And pass me one of those eggs. ;)

And did your *friend's* dies arrive before the Big Shot! That would be worse, because you can always experiment with other glues with the Flower Soft (I too use Aileen's), but it's a bit hard to use dies without a die-cutter, LOL.
I find it a bit too static to use in shaker cards, although maybe it's just the type of acetate I use, because I think they actually sell little shaped windows. For me, it all just clings to the acetate and doesn't shake.
Have creme eggs shrunk as much over there as they have here? I'm surprised they're as little as 170 calories per egg.

Well yes and no about the dies. I got the Tattered flower from sizzix before I got the machine ( which I finally got) and the ef I got from Connie on here and the ef I ordered from SU! ..BUT the other dies( the shapes I wanted ..remember I wanted the flippin circles so badly I ordered THREE of them ( that I now need to send back when /if I get them) and folders are in the box with the glue LOL..I may have to go out to Wally world this weekend to get some ATIA...I just need to figure out what else I need ( it is a good 30 minute drive from me)

And yes, sadly, the eggs are smaller here too..but I justify that by eating more than one:oops: so technically I guess you could say I am eating the equivalent of (more than) one

That JOanns box with the stupid glue and my dies isn't supposed to be here until 3/5  and that is a long time to wait LOL..but I do have some stuff to play with ..and eat HAHAH

Regular tacky glue that you can buy in any craft or fabric store works just fine. I've used a lot of Flower Soft, but I've never bought their glue. In fact, I believe it's just regular tacky glue anyway. Have fun with your new FS.

Jessica, I have used the tombow - multi purpose glue, sent it through the mail and it was fine. You have a great husband - buying you your favorite candy. Don't you just love it. Good luck with the flower soft.

Would it help the static to swipe the acetate with a used dryer sheet before adding to your project?

At least you have A die to play with in the BS, and Tattered Florals is a fabulous die to have.
I just tried embossing with a new folder and without a shim it cut the paper through in places - back to the Wizard for embossing till I have time to experiment with what works. How are you making out? I was going to email you but reckoned I might as well reply to this thread instead.
And I'm totally blaming you for the fact that I gave in to temptation and bought a couple of creme eggs for our lunch when I was out this morning ;). But I reckon the 3 mile walk over to the shops and back offset mine, shame DH can't say the same.

HAHAHHA Sabrina...I totally bought some eggs to mail to you..LOL..I felt bad tempting you LOL..and I haven't even started to walk mine off yet LOL

I did some embossing today and it worked ok once I figured out how much stuff to add to it. It took a thinner piece of cardboard ( like those that 12x12 packs of pp come with) doubled a couple of times..but eventually it worked really well. I watched a you tube vidoeo..you want me to find the link to it for you?

YEAH!!!! I love some happy mail! My glue came( with the rest of the box LOL) plus my PTI order so I have lots of stuff to play with ,..if my husband would get out of my studio and off my computer..and out from behind my desk LOL..( I shouldn't complain too much though, he is building some computers for the kids and a server to hook the printer up to so it doesn't have to take up precious space on my already over crowded desk LOL) I think it is supposed to be rainy here tomorrow again so maybe I will get to play all day..dark, dreary , rainy days are ment for stamping ( and napping) ;)

I'm so glad some (most?) of your stuff came and you don't have to exercise your patience any more. Just be thankful for Saturday deliveries!!! We have no such luxury. Hope you get to play today.
