Default Level one hostess set, need advice

I am part of a marker club and we take turns as the hostess, this month it is my turn and I have earned a level one hostess set, I have burst into bloom and it is the only one I really like, I am trying to decide between birthday best and festive four. I have looked in the gallery and it was no help to me, I was thinking about maybe getting the in full bloom simply scrappin kit but it is really not my style. I am not crazy about birthday best or festive four but I know that I would not use any of the others at all...does anyone have any advice to help me decide? I need to let my demo know soon...

Maybe you could trade it off...

I just traded a Burst into Bloom (also my favorite, and I also already had one) for Cute as a Bug.

I'd vote for festive four - I think it can be used very well on the metal tags or punches. I really like some of the cards you can make out of the Simply Scrappin kit as well. It's really great if you want a different look, but don't own the stamp set. You can make some very simple a elegant cards and only need to stamp the greeting!

I am really into the Simply Scrappin' kits right now - I absolutely love them - and if you are a scrapbooker - it really does help get pages done quickly, esp. during busy times!

I have used the In Full Bloom kit for both my daughter and son's albums (vacation pages and a baptism page) - and also for a grandchild's page in my mom and dad's album.

For stamp sets, Festive Four is my favorite - but it is just b/c I think the drawings are cute. You could always use another bday set for versatility....

sorry, not much help - good luck with your decision!

I love the Stippled Stencils, and Sculpted Style. But ... you can make approx. 60 cards with the Simply Scrappin' kit ... lol. Decisions, decisions ... oh what are we to do??? lol!

well, I was going to recommend Burst in Bloom, but my second choice would be Festive Four-nice to have those holiday stamps without a holiday set.

I had a blast making cards and 6x6 pages with the In Full Bloom scrapping set for Regionals. That would be my choice.

I think I have to vote for In Full Bloom. I also have seen some really cute cards made from this.

Personally, I love the Stippled Stencils, but if you like flowers you might also get a lot of use out of Wee Watercolors (which is the next one I'd like). Of the two you're torn between, though, I think I'd go with Birthday Best. I think you'd probably get a lot more use out of that.

Since the IFB Scrappin kit is out...and you have Burst in Bloom....I've seen cute cards made with both Birthday Best and Festive Four. I would probably go with the Birthday Best. Personally, I'm just not crazy about Festive Four.

I love Wee Watercolors and Stippled stencils. But i must say that I have the IFB to make cards with. You can make a ton. Love it.

Have you thought about getting a second Burst into Bloom, and then seeing if you can trade it for something else from the catalogue in the buy/sell/trade forum??

Just a thought.....

All the above were great suggestions....but if you are looking to expand your stamp collection to cover various holidays throughout the year, Festive Four would definitely be my suggestion!

I earned this set just in time for Valentine's Day....the heart & envelope stamp can be used for far more than just that time of year, of course! Do you own a Halloween set? If not, Festive Four will give you something you can use for this fun time! And who can resist snowmen? Great for all winter long, not just the holidays! Although you will not have the set in time for Easter this year, you'll have the adorable egg basket for next!

Check out the link below for the Valentine sample I posted awhile back. Simple and easy. This is such a fun set to use!

Have fun choosing! (Let us know what you decide.)

Well thank you everyone for your suggestions, I decided to get the festive four set, after seeing barbarad's card it made up my mind!! Everyone seemed to think it was the best set from the ones I listed so I think I made a good choice. I decided that part of the reason I wasn't sure was b/c winter is over and so is Valentines day and Easter will be also by the time I get the set so I was just not wanting to have to wait until Halloween, I decided that was silly and to just go for it, I can use it next year...thanks again everyone

Oh I got the cool cat set and the bold bright II eyelets with my hostess money!! I can't wait to get the cool cat set!!
