Default legal pad list gift

HI

I wanted to make a bunch of those adorable mini legal pad list makers that are so darn adorable, where you cut the mini pad in half or in threes, and decorate. Well, today I went to my Staples store, and I asked how much it would cost to do them, (I had 10 pads to cut).. he tells me $2.00 a PIECE!!! I said "FORGET IT".... I wish I knew how to just cut them myself! I have the fiskars 12x12 paper trimmer. I thought maybe it would be a couple bucks for all of them. $2.00 a piece!!!!! I think thats crazy!!! And then he said he wasn't sure he would be able to do it, cuz the binding might've been too thick. I wish we had another store around here to do it, but we only have staples!

Sorry!! Just had to vent!

Sorry Staples is your only choice!! When I first started making them, I went to one of our local printing places (they were very small and didn't even have a store front). If I were you, I'd look in your phone book and call every printing place in your book. If that doesn't work, put them in your car and the next time your in another town, get them cut there. Good luck!!

Can they cut more than one at a time? Our Office Max charged a small fee, but they could cut about 4 pads as one cut.
