I'm so excited to get it! I really splurged-enough to qualify for more than one free Saleabration and Hostess set. *blush* I love all the different stamp and papercraft companies out there but this is the first time I've tried SU aside from a retired set I got on Ebay.
Going on a definite spending freeze for a few months now but I think my new goodies and stash will keep me busy. I found a demo that lives just down the street from me and she holds classes regularly. Just have to get my courage up to go to one (I'm kinda shy).
Congrats! I'm sure you'll love working with SU! products - they really are top-notch! Have fun! And I agree with Sherri - show us what you make, please ;)
Also, it looks like you're relatively new here at Splitcoast - welcome! And don't be shy - everyone here is friendly and helpful and we were all new once, too...

Go, go, go......I've met so many great people, had so much fun and learned a lot from the SU classes I go to. I love them so much I attend four different demo's classes.
One is held every other month, one I attend a couple times a year. So, no I don't attend four a month!
You are very lucky she just lives down the street.
Have fun with all your goodies!

Definitely sign up for a class. It's only scary once and then you'll have made some new friends.
And, if you think you REALLY like Stampin'i Up!, you can sign up as a demonstrator simply to be your own customer (or anything beyond) and get a discount every time you order. Hope your neighboring demo told you this since you made such a large purchase.
Sue (gregzgurl) can tell you about both of these. ;-)
How fun! Getting that brown box (or SU! bag if your demo hand delivers) is such a rush.
I am sure your demo would LOVE to have you at her classes. She wants you to have a fun experience, have fun creating, and learn new stamping tricks. Going to her classes will also keep you excited about stamping and give you new ideas for what you just bought.
I went to my first class in September of 2009 and have been going every month since! I've made two new best friends and we have so much fun. We rarely make the mininimums each month, but I do think she makes the quarterly minimums so we can continue to get what we want. I am 98% SU shopper. I've found that if I purchase somewhere else, I usually regret it because quality isn't as good. With the exception of a few things. (I have the envelope punch board, MS scoreboard, MS punches, etc. They all work just as well as SU, and I got them cheaper with a coupon.) I've not been as happy with stamps, but then I have a ton that need to see ink, so I'm not hurting. I would love some more images that I can color since I got into coloring more. I do love the photopolymers they put out for the holidays and the matching dies. We've made a few changes over the years to help the demo out because she is now a friend and not just our demo. We had her cut back on the number of cards she was having us make, and every so often we each design three cards and bring the supplies and then she doesn't charge a class fee that month. Also, we help with snacks so that isn't such a burden to her. Like I said, we're friends now so it's like having a playdate!
Go to a class, I have been a demo for almost 10 years and a stamper for 11 and I still look forward to getting together with other stampers and doing what we all love. STAMPIN'.
And I also love to order and to get those orders. That box hits my porch and I can barely wait to open it and sometimes all of it is for someone else!

I hear ya Barbara! When our came before, we would just pick it up at next class. Now I can't wait that long and end up going to meet my demo half way so I can get my fix! LOL
Thanks everyone! I ordered last night and got a shipping notice already! I am impressed! I thought with SAB going on it would take a few days at least. Now to stalk the UPS guy! :-)
O, exciting. I love Sale-A-Bration, and this one is the best one I've ever seen. Do go to the class. I'm sure you'll love it and it won't be long before you feel like you fit right in.

I know I was hooked after my first order. That was 11 years ago. I get pretty crazy during SAB. My first order with the new mini and SAB.....11 SAB items....shameful I know. And there is still more I want.....

I get together with my stamping friend at least once a month (we try for every other week, but that doesn't always work out) for an entire Saturday. I really enjoy our stamping time!
We have the same demo. We don't always go to the demo's monthly classes but we have a good time when we do. We pay either $15 class fee or a minimum $25 SU! order per class; we usually make at least three cards in each class.

Wow,and I thought qualifying for 3 SAB items was bad...LOL
One thing I would suggest for your next order is blender pens. You have a few beautiful flowers you could color in using them. They are one of the first things I ordered and still use today.

You're not shy, you just like to have time to check out the scene before you plunge into talking and getting to know people. You're probably more comfortable in small groups like I am. Go for it anyway!
