I finally did take the plunge and posted two cards. Without the gallery and resources board here I never would of been able to make these cards.
My problem is that I am a scrapbooker first, and can easily do techiques for it such as layouts and paper piecings, but stamping is hard for me. Something I have to learn to master and get out of my novice state....lol....
There are so many projects I have seen that I want to try my hand at. Sis and I are going to try making the rip off calendars this week while she is here visiting. You ought to see my list of things I am having her bring with her! LOL.....
Hi Beth, I have a question. I have cards already uploaded here. However, I want to move them into an album I created. Can they be moved from one place in my gallery to another? Thanks.
Amy, I really don't know how to do this. I would think there is a way. Why don't you start a thread and ask? Surely someone would know how to do this!
Congratulations, girls! Now all you other previous lurkers/newbies that have posted to this thread...go comment on their fabulous cards...you know how cool is it to get some love!
do you know how to do screen captures? I'd love to post an uploading "tutorial" somewhere prominent on the site, and I think pictures of the steps would be the perfect thing.
Gallery at Splitcoaststampers Here is the link to my first ever VSN upload. Thanks for the challenge. It was fun. It was hard to see the scoring that I had done in a heart shape so I embossed it as well.
Yay for chickers! I just did my first-ever upload with my first-ever pocket card. The images are pending approval, but I sure would appreciate any validation y'all could throw my way.
Beth, I've been lurking here for over a year. I decided to try participating in VSN, which spurred me into trying to upload. I followed your directions, which were so clear, and lo' and behold I uploaded 4 cards successfully! Not only that, but I actually won in a category! OK, now I am going to try to post a like to my gallery. I hope it works. Thanks so much for all your help!
Beth, I have downloaded all the above information. As soon as my son visits he will help me upload. I have seen former conversation about including a copyright on the cards. How do we do that?
Thank you for all you help.
I am a newbie both to stamping and to SCS. These are the first cards that I have done on my own. I am a CMC so most of my paper is CM since I have so much of it. Hope you enjoy.
OK... I gave it a try. Its a card file box - and I think I messed up. I put it under "anything but a card" but not in the card file subcatagory. Should I delete and move it?
I would just like to say I put my first card in the gallery recently and was so pleased to see so many comments on it. Once you've done one it get's easy.
So ladies thank you so much for all your great comments, they are much appreciated and it brightens my day

This is just such a great website! I've been hoping to purchase a digital camera to take pictures of my new grandson and now I have another reason to do so. Showmestamper, I really appreciate your encouragement and enthusiasm. As soon as I get my camera, I'm going to stop being a lurker and become a poster. Woohoo!
Well - posting was pretty easy and everyone has been very kind, so I took the plunge and started a gallery. I put it under member galleries (At least I hope I did LOL). Some of the cards were made with techniques learned from this site.
I think I am still considered a newbie. I started posting some cards in May to my gallery. I am still experimenting and trying to find my style. Let me know what you think. I am always learning and looking for ways to improve. I have aonly been making cards for about a year and finally started posting this spring.
This is the first card I have posted to my gallery. I'm a fairly new stamper and have mostly been collecting all my "stampin' goods" like stamp sets, lots of accessories, cardstock, etc., instead of stamping on a regular basis even though I browse SCS almost daily. I've been making cards only as I needed one for an occasion, and have only done a few so far. I don't have pictures of some of them (now I see the error of my ways). I'm sure this was inspired by several pictures I have seen here. Thanks to everyone who provides such beautiful examples of their artistic talents on this site. It makes all the difference between fun and frustration for me as a newbie.
Well, I did it! It really was easy! I just had to remember to change the file to jpeg format, hope you like it! Sorry about all the typos- my kids make fun of my typing all the time! Here's the link, (I think!) Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I have a card I love to share and I have tried twice to upload it but it's not in JPEG format. I scanned the card and then saved it on my hard drive. That is where I am uploading it from. So, my question is how do I change the format? Any tips?

there should be an option in your scanner software to save it as .jpeg. Give that a try.
