What do you usually do to the inside of your greeting cards? I don't have a problem with the outside but I always feel that the inside needs something more. Just curious about your ideas????
Most of the time nothing. Sometimes a co-ordinating stamp in the lower corner. If I need words inside most often it will not be stamped directly on the card, but on contrasting card stock and attached. One time I made a coffee card from sketch an event on close to cocoa and on the inside I put confetti cream cover with the coffee cup stamped off so it was a light background to write on. That was fun.

I always put a coordinating stamp in the corner of the inside, or sometimes stamp off and lightly stamp all over the inside, so someone could write what they wanted. If I have an appropriate verse, I will add that, but often just leave the inside blank as far as words go. Also I stamp the same coordinating stamp on the lower corner of the envelope.

I almost always will put a piece of Whisper White or Very Vanilla (trimmed appropriately) on the inside, and stamp a coordinating image in lower corner. I may add a verse, like from Friend to Friend or Versitile Verses, or if the stamp sets I'm using has one, depending on what the card is for. The layer of WW or VV really "makes" the inside of the card I think.
But, we all do it differently!

I cut to appropriate size the least expensive white cardstock I can find. (I buy it by the pack at Michael's with a coupon.) I use SU cardstock for all of the rest of the card but find that the cheaper stuff adds much less weight to the card. I sponge the edges with a coordinating color and usually stamp a small image in the lower left corner. All of this really helps to give the card a finished look.
Wow, I never would have thought of stamping a co-ordinating image inside.
Neat!
I usually just write my note on another piece of paper and tuck it inside. Or I have a couple stamps like Have a Great Day or Hello, that I stamp inside but don't write anything actually on the card for fear I'll make a mistake and ruin the card.
If the card is made of dark cardstock, I use a lighter color inside and handwrite a note. Sometimes I use curvey verses or other stamp set to stamp a sentiment.
The majority of the time I put my computer to work! There is a wonderful website with all kinds of verses to use for all types of occasions. It's called the Stampers' Versalog (http://www.versalog.com/v/)
I guess I should say that I am making most of my cards to sell.....it just depends on what the customer wants, whether or not I stamp verses inside. The cards I send, I put a short verse inside with room to write a short note. I do like to put the coordinating stamp inside and on the envelope, as I feel this makes a nice presentation.

For special cards I like to coordinate the inside with the outside. I choose a coordinating color from the front (mostly white or vanilla but creamy caramel, tan, etc. have worked well too) to cut an insert then either stamp or use the computer for the sentiment. Then I choose an element (stamp, ribbon, embellishment) from the front and repeat on the inside. Here are a couple of examples:
Whoops, couldn' add the second example so I'll be right back.

HAHA!! That's so funny........I JUST added this card to my favorites a few days ago! It's such a neat, beautiful card.
I agree, adding a little sentiment to the inside is nice and it helps tie the whole card together. I like to computer generate my insides if I can't find the right stamp set, or if I don't have it yet. Also, add a little embellishment or stamp a coordinating image on the inside.

This is a beautiful card. The butterfly nearly looks real. Great work!
I always add an insert like you get in bought cards. I have a computer program called Greetings Card Factory, but I nearly always write my own verse inside, rather than use one of their's.
I like the professional finish it gives and I always try to tie the verse to the person.
I like to use the computer for Verses/Poems that I center on paper...... not cardstock, because some of my cards have too many layers already.
TIP... if I am writing a note by hand, I like to put a piece of black lined paper under the sheet I'm writing on. It keeps my handwriting from tr.... ai.... li..... ng..... off into oblivion.
