Default Ink not drying on vellum tags?

Has anyone else had a problem with the SU classic ink not drying on generic vellum tags? I tried this the other day, only to have the ink smear. I waited, waited, and waited, tried to wave it dry, blow it dry, I even tried to dry it with my embossing heat gun, but it just made the ink feather all over the place.

Must be doing something wrong or I have really cheap vellum tags.

I let all vellum dry over night just to be safe.

You could try and use Staz On.

Smile Emboss it!

Sprinkle on some clear embossing powder, heat it and voila! no smudging. I think it is neat to emboss on vellum with only the classic stamp pads....since it takes so long to dry!!!!

Such a great and simple solution! Someone had told me to place scratch paper over top and carefully press down to remove the excess ink, but I think I'll just emboss instead!

Thanks Debbie!
