They say the CD Holder IKEA has is great for the stamp pads. I don't know that personally, since I have the Color Caddy. But I've seen several people on this site mention this for their stamps. ;)
I went and was wondering if that CD holder fit our stamp pads. If you're going, take one or two stamp pads with you to see if they fit in any of their storage systems. I know I wish I had. Let us know what goodies you find (especially related to stamp/ink storage. As for me, I may just have to order from their website. I love IKEA's stuff, but that store was a bit much for me- it may have somthing to do with my bringing my then 2 year old and 6 month old - I don't highly suggest that...

I'm trying to get to IKEA to get the CD/DVD holders for the stamp pads - they are wooden - hang on the wall and are only about $3.99 each. I think they hold 12 pads?

I got cardboard magazine holders (5/$2.99). You can get "stampable" white, or white with bright polka dots, or with with a black toile type prints. Also, got various sized storage boxes, bins, etc. In the marketplace section you can buy all kinds of inexpensive glassware to emboss/glass etch on.
Be sure to get the DVD holder, not the CD holder. The CD holder has narrower slots and the pads won't fit. I got the dvd holders and love it because they're on the wall, over my table in sight - love 'em.
go to the kitchen "organization" section.
they have little um... wire shelf things that i use to store my ribbon &wheels in. the're about a foot long and can eaither be screwed up or they have a handle to hang from. if that makes any sence
My whole stamp area is done in Ikea for dirt cheap....I will post pics..i'm sure it will only allow 1 pic per post..so I might have to post multiple times to get the pics in.
The silver board is magnetic AND dry erase and was only $14.99
The rod that the cups and baskets are hanging on are something like $3-$4 a piece. The cups for the pens and tools are only around $1-2 and the baskets ranged in price from $2-$4 (depending on size) Can't get much better than that!
Edited to request that you excuse the mess on the table, etc. Just got back from a crop night and haven't organized...then again, who am I kidding, doesn't everyone's stamp areas look like this? LOL
Kalkaskamz...you are so making it impossible to wait for our IKEA to open!!! I'm just dying to shop there! It's still another 2 or so months away.... And then my craft room will be complete!
Thanks for sharing your photos - the stuff and the price looks great!
I don't know if you've already left, but I bought heavy cardboard boxes, neat navy blue with white wavy stripes. I have a small stamping card business and they are GREAT to hold my card inventory. They are flat, I think 3 to a pack, and you fold them together. Neat things! I can send you an email pic if you want me to.
Where should I start? LOL...they have nifty mirrors with wide wood frames, great for stamping on. Packages of small wood picture frames, ideal for your stamped masterpieces, cardboard mag files, plain cork coasters in sq or round. They can be done with Stazon and Fabrico markers. Inexpensive albums, cutlery trays, rolling chairs, tables etc. Don't forget to look in the kids toys, I got a 6 pk of teeny water glasses and there are alot of uses. They have all kinds of storage stuff, you can load your car and not spend too much. Ikea ROCKS!

Ah..but that is only a fraction of what they have to offer. Most stuff is very inexpensive, although I have noticed that their prices have gone up a tad in the last few years.
Those items I showed in the pictures (except for the dry erase/magnet board) are all located in the kitchen section. The board was in home office of course. Just be warned, you have to be a masochist to go to IKEA on a saturday or sunday...just dreadful with the amount of people there!
