Default If I buy plain red rubber stamps

Do I have to put them on "cushion" or can I use Tack it Over and Over and just use acrylic blocks?

I usually stamp with a magazine or mouse pad under to give it a little "bounce" and it seems to work out well with acrylic stamps.

They are much cheaper this way, but won't be if I have to buy cling cushion as well.

TIA!

No, you don't have to put cushion under them. I usually do for my unmounts but I have a few that I don't, I just use double stick scotch tape and they work just fine.

On my un-mounted rubber stamps I just use double stick scotch tape on the acrylic block and put the bare stamp on that. No cushion at all needed.

Ditto! Or I should say most of my stamps. I have come across a few really large stamps that need some cushion.

Cushion was originally used with wood mounted stamps cause the blocks weren't sealed. Over time, the blocks warped and split. Placing a cushion between the die and the block eliminated the affect produced when the block was uneven.

I've been ripping stamps off wood blocks for about 17 years...with very few exceptions, my stamps are 'naked.' Sometimes I have a piece of craft foam under the pape when I stamp, but most of the time I don't bother.

To answer your original question...using cushion is up to you.

Their quality is great, so I don't think you will have any problem. I have all 3 kinds of IO stamps; clear, cling and unmounted rbber with ATIOO, love them all!

I have searched everywhere for ATI&O. No one seems to know what I'm talking about. They always show me to "Alieens Tacky Glue". I only have a HL & Wal-mart close to me. Would prefer to buy it close instead of online. Any other ideas of who might have it?

In answer to your question, all my stamps are nekkid. I love it. Just make sure to have a mouse pad underneath.

Do you have any sewing shops? The ATIO&O was made for putting embellishments on clothing/costumes originally.

Good luck!

I use tack n peel as well and have had no problem with the image stamping clear. I do use a foam stamp pad underneath every time I stamp no matter what I stamp with.
