betsoph, please tell me you are freakin' kidding. This is one of the rudest things I've seen yet on SCS. "the highest bidder"?????
You're right Betsy,That is sooo rude!! Thankfully the true heart of a SCS/SU Demo is larger and there are so many that are willing to help those of us unable to attend for what it costs them without a profit or expecting anything else in exchange.

Ladies ~ We do not allow folks to sell or trade items here in a 'highest bid' way. It is against our Terms of Service. If you have items to sell or trade, please refer to the BST guidelines and post away in that forum. ;)
I do...get it every year. One year they had a CD with ALL of the convention songs included on one. Believe it or not, I keep that one in my car and play it once in a while when I need to be "pumped up" for a WS or class or something. Yes, seriously...I do!
Jan
Jan, you are cracking me up because I have done the same thing!!! "Putting It All Together" was seriously the best theme song ever. I still listen to it. hahahahaha. My daughter and I will put it on and sing (she's 14) and we'll even sing the male background voices. ROFL.
"Stampin' Up! ... Stampin' Up! .... putting it all togeeeeeeeether.
Stampin' Up! ... Stampin' Up! ... everyone's together and we're havin' fun" hahahha.

Anyway......I do have a question.....are there pre-req's to get to go to convention? Do I need to have downlines? Just curious....
I am drooling over all the details I am reading here. I am so jealous.......
I'm guessing someone offered to buy stuff and bid out to the highest bidder but I missed it too.
In answer to your question, any demo can go to convention. You don't need a downline. There is a registration fee, and of course you have to pay for hotel and transportation to the convention location, but it's awesome. I've been to 3 conventions and gosh, I'm so bummed I'm not at this one!!!
Cheers,

It's funny...this is my 9th convention, and that is the only theme song I can remember the words to! It was definitely a "catchy" tune!!!
If anyone that is there this session or next is willing to pick up an extra pink and blue ribbon sampler chain I would be willing to pay!!! I can paypal. Please pm me if you are ready and willing.
Remember the first day of General Session when they walked in holding those giant puzzle pieces and the song was blaring? Such fun times :-).
And remember Inky the giant ink pad ? And the SU people dressed up as stamps? They need those guys at ALL conventions.
simmy :-)
Sooo many great memories! I love the convention pin that year too...3 puzzle pins that fit together! No one mentioned the pin for this year ...did they? I was thinking it would be a cloud or something? Each year when convention is approaching, I can't believe that I have the same amount of anticipation as my first convention. It's probably because I know how great the past conventions have been and every year they've gotten better! And this year I'm excited to be in another new city...Denver...GO BRONCOS! Oh my goodness...I can't wait 'til I'm on the plane Monday morning!
Blech.... my files are too large to do that right now. SORRY!
For the mini catalog bag, the SU logo is in a silver debossed sort of charm that dangles from the handle. I have pics of all of the items. I will do my best to upload in the gallery as soon as I figure out how to make them smaller.
Nighty night! Miss those of you who couldn't come......
Thanks for uploading, Mary! I guess I don't need to then..... lol.... ok, getting punchy. Must get some rest.......
Speaking of which, for those of you going to Session 2, please get lots of rest before the PJ party. There are 6 projects, and it is just plain exhausting!!
OK, be honest..has anyone ever really bought the Convention Theme Song CD????
My UL does. She makes it her SU theme song for the year. I'm not sure if she is stillso into it, but a few years ago everyone in her family would know to go & get the CD & put it on when she signed up a new recruit or when an order arrived. Even her 3 yr. old knew to get the CD & they would all dance.

One of my sideline friends buys it every year. She listens to them in her car on the way to any and all events (workshops, camps, upline meetings, SU events). AND she sings along to them!
I rode with her on the way to one of her upline meetings and after listening to them a few times each, I had to hold myself back from throwing up in my mouth! I couldn't take anymore!
I was all, "No, no, make the bad people stop singing!" ;)

And let me just say that the words "Stampin' Up" were never meant to be put to music. ;)
Remember that song from the "Putting it all together" year??????
ACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get the bad people out of my head!!!!!!!!!

ok, so why can't i see any of these pics in the gallery? i looked under the SUB and stampin up events but the convention 07 gallery is empty. anyone know where they are posted?
Well dang it! My upline is there and she called yesterday to see if I wanted anything from the Momento Mall. I had her get me a couple things but passed on the Crossover shirt. Then she goes and posts a pic of it here on this thread and it is CUTE! *sigh* Not to mention that the mini bag is way cute too. Thanks for making me want to spend more money I don't have Belinda. She's good at that. LOL ;)

I am so sad, I just started this year and unable to attend. The stuff is great I wish I could get the bag it is so adorable. Maybe next year, but since I'm in Germany that might not happen, I can only hope. Hope everyone has a great time.
Does anyone have a photo of the SU logo on the hat? I'm assuming it's there but have only seen the front of the hat with the flowers on the side.
Also, I'd really love to see the Silver Cuff Bracelet!
Anyone have photos of those?
Thanks!
There is a photo of the hat in the gallery. It's cute khaki with embroidered flowers on one side of the front. The logo is in the back. Still waiting on photos of the bracelet. Sounds cool, though!!

I went to convention in 05 and they had the silver cuff bracelet, it is just plain silver with little balls on the end that screw off so you can put charms on it. they sell spacer beads you can use on it and charms too. I am assuming it is probably the same, but since I am not there I can't say that for sure. HTH!
