Default idea help for teacher gifts:)

OK, I need 5 teacher gifts for Friday. They have to be less than $5 each, and I would like for them to be semi useful. I have a load of frappachino bottles that could be used up. I am just coming up short on ideas. TIA!

Here is what I gave to my daughter's preschool teachers. It is a covered composition notebook and RSVP pen. Pretty inexpensive and just so cute!!!

I am making elegant PostIt holders that are less than $5 each and they are really simple to make. You can check out one that I did on my blog.

I am making candles for some teachers, glitter ornaments for other teachers and homemade cookies for all!

I teach first grade and love to get new note pads, pens, cool pencils and notecards. Food/snack gifts are always welcome, as are gift cards for movie rentals, bookstores or teacher supply stores. Another great gift is a favorite book that your child enjoys for our classroom library.

I made my son's teacher a set of many different cards, mostly thank you's, but some other all purpose cards, too. She loved it! I have even given the principal, school counselor, speech therapist the same thing and they all said they loved them! One year I gave stamped candles, notepads, and pens and they were well received, too!

I think the Frappachino bottles are a good idea, too!

As a teacher, the gifts I've appreciated most over the years are items handmade by the child. I have been given several handmade ornaments that I still treasure. Often, they are the Playdough ornaments, then painted by the child. I've received a few beaded ornaments (pony beads on a pipe cleaner to make a candy cane, etc.)

I don't care what the gift is--I just think it's so nice to be thought of and remembered!

If you want to use your Frappuccino bottles, the suggestion of filling them with M&Ms and tying a pretty ribbon on is a great one!

Handmade cards are great, as are other consumable items like pens, post-its, etc.

I personally never turn down chocolate. Or cookies.

I love the notecard idea. I think that many be what I do this year.
How many notecards do you give? Are they all the same, or different? Do you give envelopes with them?
Thanks for the help!
