An article on the 5 most expensive addictions: Article
Alcohol, Drugs, Overeating, Gambling and Smoking.
I think they forgot to consider stamping/papercrafts. Maybe we should direct them to SCS and see if they, too, get sucked in (never to return). I find it to be quite addicting, and expensive, too! ;) But I'll take it anyday over most everything else!

I just told my DH last week that his pack a day habit costs more than my minimums as a SU demo. He "says" he doesn't smoke a pack a day and I "know" I spend more than my minimum!!!! LOL. I'm sure I'd go on a stamp diet if I could get him to quit, though.

My name is Diane...and I'm a stamp-a-holic. I used to say I could quit anytime I wanted to, but then I started packing my lunch and quit buying it so I could spend more $$ on stamps. I even became a "dealer" so I could get my fix with a discount. Now I've even got my 7yo DD hooked. There is no hope for us...

Definitely an addiction! I had an odd experience this evening. A group of women I work with got together for a craft night (primarily scrapping), but I took most of my stamp sets to catalogue. Ok..I have a lot of stamps, but the way everyone kept going on about the amount of stamps I had...I started feeling like a criminal. These gals probably spend more on their scrapping then I have on my stamping, but everyone kept commenting on "my addiction." I just laughed it off and played along...but I wonder what that was about. Perhaps cards aren't considered "valuable" like a scrapbook....not sure...but it was odd.
Anyway...I enjoy my addiction and it brings me immeasurable amounts of joy so I can't see myself joining a 12-step program for it anytime soon.
