Default I need ideas quick..

I am heading to playgroup with my son in about an hour and I have thought and thought for days and cannot come up with anything but the ? is this.. I have to be in charge of the craft for today and the theme is Shamrocks and I have NO idea what to do for it or what to make that would be easy enough for the kiddos. Does anybody have any ideas they can throw at me? LOL. I guess if it comes down to it I can just draw a shamrock on my white paper and have them color it in or something. I just wanted to see if you talented ladies have any ideas..Pleaasssee.
Thanks,
Rene'

well, i'm not sure how old the kids are, but if they are capable, you can draw three hearts on a piece of paper along with the little "shamrock stem" and have them color them and then cut them out and paste them together into a shamrock. Since I do not know how old the kids are, I suppose cutting would be difficult for 2 year olds..but if they are a bit older, this idea covers some good large motor skills (coloring, cutting and pasting) Good luck!

I agree with the green heart ideas. Yesterday my almost 4-year-old daughters brought home shamrock art from preschool. They had glued green hearts together on a page and colored a green stem. They had then added green glitter glue in swirls on top. If I was doing it at home, I might skip the glitter part. At this time, I reserve all glitter rights for ME!!

Have fun!!

If they are able to cut and trace... You could do a big shamrock shape and halve it to make a template for folded green construction paper. Then they could trace the half along the fold and cut - unfold it and it is a whole shamrock! Bring sequins or something to decorate. Just a thought...

Maybe you could cut out a big shamrock for a body. They could make arms and legs out of strips
of paper folded accordian style. They could color on a face or use googly eyes. Just an idea.
