Default I need help with wedding programs!

I am going to be making about 125 wedding programs for my daughter's friend's weddinng. I need help with two things:

The bride would like ivory shimmer paper - where to buy?

The bride would like a die cut H on the front of the program, but the only ones that I have are the Olivia, Hippe Chick and red tag sale and they are not big enough. Who makes a larger monogram or die?

Thanks!

Jutta

If you need just a single letter instead of an entire alphabet you could try the monogram sets from Quickutz. Here's a link to the "H" set.

Default letter H

Thanks for the link to the monogram die. I will probably order it. It sure would be helpful to know the size of the letters! The paper link was good, but I may have to find another source. I would needfive packs of paper and teh die AND some SU certainly cerlery and I'm not sharging her for this, so she may have to have plain ivory paper if I can't find a cheaper source. That would be $45 for just that paper + S & H!

Jutta...

I have a local scrapbook store that allows customers to use their CriCut. They charge $1 for usage, and you do have to buy the cardstock from them. I needed a C and H for a school Christmas Program and had 120 sets of letters done for around $15. Also, what was nice, I could get the size I needed....and less work on me!!

Might you have a LSS that does something like this??

They're pretty big. They look similar (as I recall, my LSS has them, but I can't really go right now to measure) to the size of the letters when you click on zoom (at least on my computer). You could always call one of Quickutz's suggested retailers and see if they could give you specific dimensions. If I can get to my LSS in the next day or two I will make sure to post the sizes for you.

Yep, just find a friend with a Cricut!

I was in Michaels and trying to help another customer find a large stamp for a monogram. Then she ran into a friend on another aisle who volunteered her Cricut.

Default monogram sizes

Ucutathome replied to my email asking if they carried the Quikcutz monogram and they said that they did have it and included a link. What I don't understand about stores like this is why can't they tell you the size of something? This is a very important consideration for any crafter! How big is the _____ (fill in the blank with the product you want to buy). Even though I have a friend who is going to cut the letters for me on her Cricut, I think I would like to get the letter S so that I could make monogrammed sstationery for my family. I won't buy something if I don't have basic info, like the size!

Warning about the shimmer paper...my friend is making wedding invitations and we are having a hard time getting the ink to dry and stay put...we are now embossing them. The fun never ends!

I made all my wedding stuff and used paperandmore.com for shimmer papers. They are good quality, reasonable prices and cheap shipping. As far as ink, just make sure to let everything dry thoroughly for 24 hours. When I printed on it from the computer, I set the paper setting to "coated" so that it would print differently. good luck!

I think they refer you to their website so they won't misspeak. They have entered the information they were given by the manufacturer there.

If it is a Quickutz die I would contact the manufacturer directly to find sizes - they know what they manufacture and less room for error.
