Talking I must be simple...

because I am having a hard time getting used to acrylic stamps. Perhaps if my work area wasn't such a mess, I wouldn't be having a problem. My biggest frustration is that I set them down and then can't find them - the blocks either. Since they are clear, they just don't jump out at me. See, I told you I was simple! Anyone else have this issue or am I the only simpleton here LOL?

OK, so I thought I was a purist because I prefer wood mounted, can't get into acrylic...maybe I am simple instead! But no, you aren't alone. I can even 'lose' the clear blocks to mount them on!

I have a few and I'm trying to like them because of the cost, but I'm losing them. So if I'm losing them it's really not cost effective My stamping area is a mess 99% of the time and I'm not one to clean each stamp immediately after so I have a pile.......

I use mostly unmounted rubber, but have some acrylic too.

My secret is this- I have a coaster box labeled "clean me" as soon as I use a stamp it gets set in there until the box is full (or I need something in it) and I clean them all. A clean stamp MUST go back into it's case.

THere is no way I will clean the stamps and put them away after using them, but I can handle cleaning a box of them and putting them all away.

I lose everything...clear or not. Brads disappear into my carpet, but my most recent and upsetting loss is my Rubber Romance Cowgirl stamp. Anyone seen it???

When I'm working, I make such a mess that I frequently in each project lose stuff I need!! BTW, I tried I really did but I just don't like acrylics at all. Tried several companies but I guess I'm rubber all the way!

OOO OOO OOO!!! In a moment of clarity, I found it in a SU stamp box with a bunch of stamped images waiting to be colored. Poor thing, it was lost for DAYS!

I can lose something on my table within 30 seconds of putting it down. Then I spend 30 minutes looking for it and by the time I find it, something else has wandered off. Right now I'm trying to find my biggest acrylic block. Sigh......

I've lost two good acrylic stamps--and I clean up after every project. I have a hard time keeping up with the acrylic stamps, too. I think I'm just a messy at heart and not destined to keep up with them.

like Skittl i keep a small basket on my desk that i throw my stamps into after i give them a quick clean with scrubber and cleaner. then when i am done stamping and have time, i take the basket and go wash them. scrap papers go in an envie i have propped up on my desk.
helps keep the desk clear so i am ready to stamp always.

I lost a CTMH set once and found it, but it was so thin and it took me weeks. I actually put it with some designer paper. I just like wood better. I have lots of other stamps (CTMH, TAC, many unmounteds from stamp shows) but I love wood.

I have a "clean me" container on my desk for dirty stamps. If you are "losing" your blocks what about edging it with a black Sharpie?

OH MY GOSH! Why didn't I think of that?? Yes, of course I'm losing my blocks - I think I'm losing my mind LOL!
Thanks for the tip, I will totally edge it with a sharpie.

Default clear stamps

Cripes! I did that the other day! A wonderful friend sent me a great acrylic alphabet and I was using it and lost it on my table. It took me quite a while to find it. Nice to know I'm not the only one! ;)

That's me!!!! My area is the black hole of stamping. Stuff spins into the black hole.... then it spins out a little later.... only to have something else sucked in!!!!

And... I never clear my space as I go or clean my stamps like I should. I usually stick them in the box upside down to indicate "dirty" and keep on creatin'! (hey, I get on a roll)

I was using a clear stamp last night and dropped it and couldn't find it in my carpet for several minutes! Uhhhhhh!!! This is exactly why I think I'll never go unmounted. I'd end up with a huge pile o' sticky images with no home!

OH NO! I lose everything, all the time, especially flat things. Pastels and Five-in One envelope template were lost for a long time. Color Coach was given up for dead but found it just before I ordered a new one. I just made my first CTMH order this week and I wonder if I will spend as much time using the stamps as I do looking for them?! Now I see why I've stayed loyal to wood mounted rubber all these years!

If you're simple, I am too. Maybe it rubbed off on you during that dss round we had? rofl.

I lose everything, but a quick prayer to St. Anthony, the "keeper of lost things" (no, I'm not catholic, and yes, it really works - lol) generally does the trick for me!

HI SARAH!
That's IT! It's YOUR fault that I'm simple LOL!
How's that beautiful baby boy?
And yes, Dear St. Anthony always comes through for me - nice to know he's democratic and doesn't just work for us Catholic girls.

I do lose my acrylic stamps while crafting, but I lose other things too..
I really should be a tidier crafter, it would save an awful lot of time!

The only thing I've ever lost for good is one of the letters from one of my alpha sets, which is one of the tiny MSE! sets
