I was in love until...

Oh, I am so sad! I went to Nichole's blog to check out the sneak peeks and scrolled lovingly down to each picture savoring the beautiful images & amazing colors until...

I saw the words! I am such a stickler for grammar and it should read
"BLOOM where YOU'RE planted" not YOUR.

Unless they fix the typo, I will not be able to bring myself to buy it!

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE PAPERTREY!!! They are gorgeous & so well thought out. I hope this was just a production sample error that has already been fixed :(

Not an english major, so please be nice. But isn't that correct? Bloom where you are or you're planted.

That's what she's pointing out. She said it SHOULD read You're NOT YOUR....

at least that's my take on it.

Off to go take a second look

Well, on Nichole's blog the stamp reads "Bloom where your planted" and to be grammatically correct it should read "Bloom where you're planted".

It says YOUR, as in possessive. I am guessing that Nichole is going to be blushing at the oopsie and correct it. I still love the set and can't wait to see more peeks.

I don't have the link, but the correct way should be "Bloom where you're planted" ... as in "you are planted"

Not sure what it says, but the "you're" should be the right way.

That's the first thing that I noticed too. At least if the sets are already done and packaged (which I'm SURE they are because of the release in 5 days!), like someone pointed out on Nichole's blog, she can manufacture just the sentiment and send them out. Hopefully people will be patient. Everyone makes mistakes!

It should be you're or you are. A mistake I type all the time. I know the difference, as I am sure Nichole does. Just a typo.

I go and re-read some of the things I have typed and want to bang my head on the desk. Sometimes I have just too much going on at once.

Oh, how unfortunate for Nichole as she will have to order everything again. I'm sure this mistake will not be cheap for her company.

Good luck Nichole!

This can be a collector's edition lol. Have you noticed in hobby collecting that if an item has a mistake, say a coin or a Beanie Baby (back in the day) it increased in value? Grab your typo stamps while you can ha ha.

I think I will wait and order until it is corrected. I know I am going to love that set completely and I don't want her to have to ship twice to me.

I just read this on her blog:

"EDITED TO ADD: We have been made aware of the grammar error in the sentiment used on this project. I take complete responsibility for the mistake and am blushing from head to toe! LOL! Manufacturing has already been completed, so we are having the correct sentiment manufactured separately. I will provide more details as they become available. Other than this small error, I promise that this set is amazing, and once you see it in it's entirety, it will be love at first sight! "

Thought you'd all want to know!!! I'm a stickler for grammar too! ;-)

Grammatical error aside, I FREAKIN' LOVE THAT SET! (and I haven't even seen all of it!!!) How gorgeous are those flowers? And her example of stamping the linear ones & watercoloring to soften the look - LOVE IT!

Nichole - can't wait to buy it! Woo hoo!!! I feel money flying out of my wallet!!!!!!!

When I saw the error, I blushed for Nichole, knowing that she would be so upset when she realized the mistake. Everything she does is just so perfect! (I don't know her personally but am so in love with her style and product that I feel for her like she was my sister, LOL!)

After teaching college English for years, I got over my snobbery of grammar and spelling mistakes made by individuals--these sorts of mistakes are so easy to make! But in business, professional publications, and the like, mistakes need to be fixed. I think it speaks very well of Nichole's business practice and reputation that everyone here was so confident she would fix the mistake, even before she said she would. Way to go, Nichole!

It is a gorgeous set! I'm sure Nichole will do whatever is necessary to make it right... I'm so sorry for her that this got through to production. It's nice that she is taking a few days off with her family before she has to deal with this little bump in the road.

Nichole has edited her blog entry to address the error:

I type dictation and edit transcription for a living and these types of errors jump right out at me too. It is funny how other people don't even notice them. Not a commentary on people's intelligence just on the difference in the ways peoples brains work. I'm glad that it was caught and will be fixed because if people are aware of the error they will not buy or use that particular stamp. Kudos for the pending change. It is a gorgeous set by the way.

That was the first thing I noticed, too. I was loving the flowers - and then the finished samples stopped me cold. So glad that the error is being addressed.

It's funny, actually sad, that the error got by so many people. More than one person saw the art work, looked at the mold, etc., and yet no one caught it!I feel bad for them having to make a correction after the set is done. Love her samples, even with the boo-boo.

oopsie!

Oh well! Everyone makes mistakes sometimes! It's ok, she's gonna fix it. I feel embarassed for her, please Nichole, I hope you feel better-- it's just an oopsie! (I know it costs money to fix, but in the big scheme of things, most love the set anyway!!)...

And wow, what a beatutiful set. I have no papertrey sets (can you believe that?)... this may be my first one!

I do feel bad that they have to reprint the saying and in the end it will cost them more. That is kind of sucky for a small company. That said I don't feel embarrassed for her. Everyone makes mistakes and to say that I am embarrassed for her to me would mean that I am above her and don't make any mistakes at all! To which I am not above her or anyone else. Mistakes happen and as long as you own up to it and correct them there is no harm done. Mistake aside I can't wait to see the rest of the sneak peak. I always get so excited about papertreys 5 day sneak peaks!

I am not directing my comments toward anyone in particular. Just putting my own opinion out there

You don't! Oh my word you have got to jump on the band wagon I was never a big fan of clear stamps until I used papertreys! There is not one ink that you CAN'T use for with these stamps. The price is amazing for what you get. The packaging is so cool too. You have got to try at least one set. You won't be disappointed.

YEAH!!!! I knew she would come through! It is sad that she will have to correct it at a cost, but I never doubted that it would be corrected. YIPEE!!! I guess I will just play with my other PTI sets until this beautiful one is out!

Thanks Nichole for your awesome stamps and customer service! That's what makes loyal customers!

I had also tried several other clear stamps before Papertrey and could not get a great image. I now have 7 Papertrey sets and absolutely love every one of them. The CD cases fit on my stamping table, so they are always within reach, and I use them all the time! Can't wait to see the new sets on the 15th!

I'm glad to hear that Nichole is in the process of fixing it. It's the first thing I noticed when I checked her blog at 12:30 this morning!

As others have said, even with the mistake, I am getting this set. It is beautiful. I love those flowers. I did not even notice the mistake until I read some of the posts on her blog. I guess that is why I became an accountant and not an English major. Can't wait to see what else she reveals over the next few days.

Well, I for one am becoming a bit irritated with Ms. Nichole Heady. I don't yet have all her sets and here she is coming out with more incredible, unique designs that I KNOW I will absolutely love and MUST HAVE!!!! Someone make her stop (at least temporarily until some of us have the money to catch up and get them all before coming out with new ones)!!!LOL I guess I can always bug my boss again and insist he give me some overtime!! Hmmm, maybe it's time to start a new thread on how to make a little extra money to increase my monthly craft budget!! Can't wait until the 15th!

Too funny!!! I just got one of my sets from last month put into its little CD case, then here are more stamps to drool over. I DO NOT know where she finds the time and energy to do everything she has going on. She's phenomenal, for sure!
