Just checkin to see how you are all going with your new SU businesses? ARe you getting heaps of orders - what sort of feedback are you getting? Are people happy to pay the price for the stamp sets?
Sorry bout all the questions but I am just curious!
yes, this would be a totally intriguing scenario to know more about! How SU is doing in a totally new market! People of Australia, please let us know and keep updating us!!!
Hi everyone! I'm a very new Aussie demo - so new that my starter kit just arrived at home this morning and I am stuck here at work!! Two more hours till I get to home home and play with all my new toys!! Anyway, I think I could keep myself in business, my wish list is so long

Can you believe it? I now have my own blog!
It's been great! I've got two downlines that are not only motivated but are also really great company so I'm really lucky.
Well I don't believe it but I've actually made my first quarter's numbers in less than a week! Okay, I've also added a small order for me too but part of it was a new heat gun which I was going to get anyway and I was looking around for - and since the first order is 30% off rather than 20% that was a bonus for me.
I've had heaps of people asking for catalogues too.
The stamp prices are okay. I mean, stamps in Australia are expensive anyway, and if you add up the prices of say some Hero Arts stamps that are the same size of the SU! ones then people can see that SU! is cheaper. The only objection I suppose is from people that usually shop for UMs but then they know that woodmounts are going to be more expensive.
I went to the SU! info night the other night and it was great! One of my downlines came with me (Jayne) and it was great to talk to staff and look at some card samples. I nearly fell off my chair though when the lady I was talking to at our table told me where she lived... she lives 3 minutes from my house! Cool... instant customer. Oh, and I won a door prize! I won the Walk About set, which to tell you the truth I'm not 100% sure about... the thing is that I don't think a lot of Australians are into "Australiana", not from what I hear anyway - although they are patriotic, I don't think they really stamp kangaroos much, not unless they have relatives overseas I suppose.
So anyway, Jayne & I got to meet Shelli and had a photo taken with her. LOL. And I thoroughly enjoyed listening to Bonnie (have forgotten her surname) from SU! she was so funny. We got to do a make & take (and I totally mucked up the stamping in front of Shelli, LOL).
Hi Tracy! I'm in Sydney... how's things up the coast?
Ummm, what else? Can't think right now. Feel free to ask anymore questions.
Well if my excitement level is anything to go by then SU! is going to take off really well!
I've only placed a demo order so far but have a party booked for later this month, one early May and another one in June and that was by just saying I was a SU! demo! I haven't even started on the preschool/playgroup/mothers' group mums yet!
I've signed up under Angela and doing this together is making things so much easier. Someone's ear to bend who's in the same situation is great.
Thank you all so much for your interest and support, it's good to know that our US and Canadian fellow demonstrators are looking out for us.
Oh gosh were to start. Well, i signed up under Angela
I have 4 bookings, have held one Class (where I teach 4 cards - we call everything different things over here), there were 5 last night - 4 orders 1 booking, and i have another Class tonight, but only 2 coming.
so far have over $400 in sales and I havent even started yet! I also have a lady interested but just on a hobbly level.
well need to get some hostess envies ready!! and get my craft room ready for tonight.
Hi Angela - I would only be shopping at this point in time - was hoping there would be a demo closer by cause I dont want to have to add postage to me on top of my order - unless SU do a customer direct order like they do in the US! I wouldnt be buying anything for a month or so anyway as I have someone bringing some SU stamps from their US spring mini catty over with them when they come here on holidays next month!!
Lucky you Karen, getting stuff from the Sping Mini Catty. I just got some stamps yesterday from a US demo - I had chosen these stamps early in the year before I knew SU were coming here... funny how quickly things change, one minute I'm ordering stamps from the US and next minute I'm a demo, have got my kit and the US stamps just arrive. LOL. Still, I managed to spend some money on the markers, inkpads and cardstock. They're fabulous for me because I always spend way too much time trying to get everything to coordinate.
Yes the Australian office of SU sends orders direct to the customer, so feel free to order from me. LOL!
All is going great! Out of the 10 cattys I had, I have just 3 left until my next order arrives. I have had HEAPS of interest from people wanting to be demos so am just waiting to see who will come through on that respect. I owned a stamping shop which I sold 12 months ago so have been doing classes for 3 years so am not too nervous about that aspect. I have two demos potentially signing up. Have a workshop at my house in a week, and another booked the following week which was a referal from SU, but I haven't promoted myself yet as the kids have been on holidays and as I have 4, I've been waiting until they went back yesterday to school so now there's no excuse! All systems go!
It's all so exciting! We've been waiting to SU to come here for years!!!
Hooray for you Aussie girls!!! How exciting and fun!!!
Come to think about it, do any of you have an extra room in your house? I want to come over and be a demo in your gorgeous country!!;)
Oh, I would need to bring my kids, too. They're sweet but a little messy! Okay, my husband is way into surfing so he would definitely want to come, too! He is always tagging along, lucky he's cute!!!
Seriously, I wish all of you tremendous success!!!!

I'm so excited for you all! I wish I was there to get in on the excitement! Oh, I have always wanted to go to Australia. It is the only place outside the US that I've ever wanted to visit! Lucky You! My daughter had a pen pal in Australia when she was in fourth grade (now she's 30). She wrote to her for years then they stopped writing. I have always wondered what she is doing now! Her name is Harriet Sagias (I think) and she was from Adelaide (sp?)!
Things are going great for me too, but yes, Easter and school holidays make it a little difficult... I have two workshops lined up though which is great and hopefully that will start the ball rolling for workshops. So far most of my orders have been from friends.
Jyll, oh I wish I had a spare room here... I'm close to the beach too so your family would be busy. Come to think of it, if I had a spare room then it would be filled with my stamping stuff. LOL.
