I am on an organize kick. I have accumulated a few sets now and notice they are a pain to find in the box i currently have them in. Please give me some clever ideas on how you store yours. I have seen how people store them in binders and use page protectors but what about the stamps that dont have cling or ez mount on the back, what are you sticking those too?
I also saw people who store in cd cases, exactly how are you doing this and where do u find the cases?
Thanks for reading this far and any suggestions you can offer would be grat
I use CD cases...I have wall-mounted CD racks from Ikea, and I like that they are easy to find with this system. I buy empty CD cases from Target...I only need a few at a time, so this works for me. As I run out I buy another pack...if I were doing a ton at once, I know there are cheaper places to buy 50+ at once online.
Clear stamps fit on both sides of the cases, and I stick the acetate image sheet inside if it has one...EZ-mount stamps only fit one one side, and only about 3 of my sets required two cases.
I print clear labels for the spines of the CD cases if they aren't PTI (which come with their own). This way everything looks some-what uniform!

I personally didn't like using regular CD cases. I love my stamp storage now. You can see a detailed post on how I store mine here. I hope you find it helpful.

Hi,
I love organizing but I find I'm doing it all the time. That's because I keep buying more stuff. Anyway, I like the CD cases cause I can flip through them easily and see everything quickly. Like fliping through albums at the record store use to be. (Ohh but I'm just aging myself now! ) I tried using binders with sheet covers but didn't like that too much.
Good Luck!

I now use 3 Ring notebooks and White Plastic Storage boards. This fits my needs. I have a small crafting area. And the CD cases were taking over my Crafting space.
The 3 Ring Notebooks have a zipper on them and I can zip them close. So when I go somewhere I don't have to worry about loosing my stamps.
Here is what my Notebook looks like.
I found some of my 3 Ring Zippered Notebooks at my local Good Will store, In fact I found one on Friday and paid .99 for it.
The white Storage boards I have been buying through The Angel Company.

I searched ur blog to see if I could find a pic of what it's suppose to look like but could not find anything. do you have a pic? does the little circle in the middle interfere with your rubber at all. Maybe i have the wrong idea..

Are the storage boards you buy sticky so ur stamps stick or are your stamps ez mounted?

I and probably most people that use cd cases find the cases that the middle can be removed. Makes for a nice flat surface.
I've also started storing my Nestablities in cd cases.
I'm a visual person, so I also have a binder where I've stamped an image of each stamp and marked which cd case it's in. Kinda double duty, but it works for me.

The "tray" in CD cases is removable - just pop it right out. Or you can even buy them without the tray. Watch out, though - you need the regular jewel cases, not the slimline ones, if you're storing stamps in them.
I go a step further with my cases - I take my little pliers and snap off the little half-round tabs that are supposed to hold the liner notes in the CD case. Gives just a tad bit more room for larger sets.

This is pretty much my story, too. I also will store rubber-only stamps in CD cases, although I've decided to gradually put the plain rubber on EZmount also. Just to keep everything the same ~ and you don't want to be in the midst of a project and find you've stuck a cling stamp to Tack'n'Peel LOL!!
I use 3-drawer 12 x 12 stackable plastic storage units and each drawer can hold 24 CD cases.
I use the white plastic and put them in a zipper binder case.
I got the white plastic sheets from Gina K here and love them, and I got my zipper case from one of the dollar stores for $3.00 in the office supply area. It was one of those planners with the calendar and address book in it.
It was on clearance because it was April so I snatched it up - should have bought more of them!
Ok, I'm a confused novice. Isn't EZ Mount permanant? I mean once it's put on an acrylic block you can't get it off?
EZ Mount is very sticky on one side. This side sticks to the plain rubber stamp. (You could probably pull the rubber stamp off this side, but it would be difficult.) The other side isn't really sticky - more like a little tacky. This side will stick to an acrylic block and is easily removable. It will also stick to storage surfaces like plastic CD cases, storage boards, etc.
I keep all mine in a three ring binder with the white storage baords. When I ran out of those I used page protectors with a piece of heavy cardstock inside to give it stability. On the back of my unmounted rubber stamps I have used "sailor " 2 in 1 glue. I found it at a stamp convention a couple years ago. You put it on the back of the stamp and let it dry. It becomes a great sticky adhesive. It will remain sticky for a really long time. It won't ruin you acrylic block or your stamp. I believe you can find the glue online from a company called, "another stamp company" The lady running the booth was so nice and helpful! Anyways, I have used the glue for a couple of years and haven't had any problems. I also don't have the bulk of the ez mount. This is how I do all the ones I get from TAC also. You can fit a ton in the binders. Just don't tell my husband! Have a good one! D

...sure its got a catchy beat, but can you stamp to it?
life is something that happens only when you run out of cardstock
I LOVE the full-sized ones. I used them for my SU sets. I have the smaller ones, either from Sunday International or Gina K, and use them for my non-SU stamps. The full-size binder boxes hold 20 - 30 sets, depending on size. I then stamp each set on a page of white paper and store them in a binder for cataloging purposes. I'm very happy I switched.
