Default How to use it????

Clearing out the OLD filing cabinet. Found several ledger books.... the kind with white & green pages. KWIM? Lots of lines and little boxes to tally your business expenditures. (Hard to believe what we did before Quicken!)

SO...

I'm thinking the blank pages would make cool background paper or something. Looking for your ideas.

Maybe, "I totally love you" or "when I think of you, my smiles multiply"?

Those are both great ideas!! This isn't as clever as your ideas, but you could also stamp on it or print digis on it for paper piecing.

Are the books new (no writing in them)? You could alter them and somehow make them into a journal or scrapbook...although the paper may not be photo safe.

Cut the paper into strips and add a strip to the top or bottom of blank or lined paper, and make a "From the Desk of..." stationary set.

I'm interested to see what everyone else comes up with.

U R right about not being photo safe. I don't do scrapbooking anyway. Mostly I just make cards.

On a thread I started, asking what people had on their wish lists right now a couple people mentioned a stamp image of a typewriter. I'm thinking even an adding machine, cause they had them back when they used ledgers. I've seen faux old typewriter keys for sale in Hobby Lobby I think. Maybe digital images or clip art if you don't want to purchase stamps. I love the idea of your titles.

These are what the girls in that thread mentioned:

Thank you Magnolia, I do have an antique typewriter stamp (somewhere). And I have an alphabet set that looks like old typewriter keys! Wow! I may just have to make a couple of cards this afternoon.

Hi, Garnet!

I.have no idea how to search for them (can't think of a key word) - but I have seen some cute cards using what looks like a piece of a steno pad attached with a clip or something similar - like a note pinned on a bulletin board. Maybe that style would work.

Okay, don't shoot me. I know most of us have waaay more stuff than we'll ever use, and that probably includes you, so why don't you donate the ledger books to charity and let someone else make use of it? Otherwise it could sit in the "intentions to do" pile until you rediscover it again years from now. Just trying to keep it real...

I got some paper similar to what you describe, I wasn't thinking about using it to make a card, but I did use it for scrap paper to stamp off on

Oh I can piggy back off that idea... how about one of those Italian paper clips. I think that's what they are called. The are round curly-cue, concentric circles.

How about flowers, like the Stampin Up Blossom Petals Builder Punch or something similar?
