You just desribed me to a T!! I spend so much time getting inspired and browsing through online stores that I rarely get into my craft room to be productive. I spend entirely too much time going through my stash to make sure I don't already have something I just found online that I have to have!!

I love to be creative but I am most productive when I have a design (or 2) and make multiples. When I'm not stamping, I'm reading about it, when I'm not doing that I find myself thinking about it. Truly addicted.

I have no kids at home anymore, am retired and have my own craft room. Therefore, I spend the majority of my day stamping (housework be darned!). I choose a theme for each month and make all the birthday cards I need for the month using that theme (or maybe just a single stamp). I usually make at least one card just like one of the birthday cards and leave it blank or add a greeting that I may be low on or that seems to fit with the theme of the card. Those I keep for future use. That is what drives me, but I don't do it grudgingly at all. I absolutely love every part of the craft---from organizing to planning to executing to writing the letters inside the cards. I often work months in advance as my hubby and I travel a lot, so I must be caught up for those times that we are nowhere near a stamp! Right now I'm finishing up on August cards. There are no holidays to make cards for in August (I make for ALL the holidays), but there are quite a few birthdays. I choose a theme a year for all the young'uns. (This year it's pinwheels.) I used to make all of those at one time and have them ready, but that when there were only about 12 and not 25 and growing. Now I do them month by month as well. I only send gifts to siblings, my kids and grandkids, so cards to others become gifts for most. Even get together with a group of stampers twice a month during the school year and maybe once or twice in the summer. Now and again I have someone over to "play" and get inspired even more. I love to sew, but now that I'm not working I don't need so many clothes, so that happens less. Haven't crocheted or knitted since the kids were little. I belong to a book club and reading is another thing I do every day---mostly in the evenings. I feel so lucky that I can stamp when I want---even if it is all day everyday! It often takes me a day or two to get a card completed and then some days I get 3 done, so I'm glad I have lots of time. Oh yeah, I have lots of weeding to do now that it's summer, but heck, if the deer don't eat them, I'm going to consider calling them flowers!

I don't feel like I "have" to stamp every day or any particular time. I would love
to stamp 24/7 and some weeks I do stamp every day. I tend to stamp at night.
Nothing I want to watch on tv and my husband is glued to the tv so it's a perfect time.
When I go to sleep, I sometimes think of a new card idea and I fall right asleep.
(Or else get up and start it!) I am truly addicted to this!

LOL. Welcome to my world. It is still comforting though to just be in my studio surrounded by all my card making supplies.

I started stamping in 2007 and joined SCS about the same time. I used to do the challenges and was really hooked. Had a few medical problems and my crafted tapered off and I seldom craft now or at least not everyday like I used too. I have a buildup of cards that my girls go through when they need a card and I now just make a special card now and then. Saves me money as I won't buy anything since I need to use up what I have!!

Not nearly enough! We got a puppy back in January and she's a ball of energy! I've hardly been in my craft room except to make a couple sympathy cards. I'm suffering withdrawals.
