When I started this I didn't understand the idea of " hoarding" patterned paper . Why would anyone hoard paper?? Well now I understand LOL

I have a package of SU Cottage Wall pattern paper which I love. Now that I can no longer buy more of it I am very selective in using it. I found the One Sheet Wonder concept so I can stretch it. My Granddaughter is getting a set of Thank you cards for Christmas. I am using Cottage Wall so to me the gift is more special. She does no crafts so would not understand that I used a sheet of my precious paper for her gift.

I have some 12 x12 paper I bought at a garage sale and some of it is not my favorite. I used that to make a sample of the One Sheet Wonder card layouts before I cut into the cherished Cottage Wall paper. LOL

Hi Sue!!! (Love Random on Purpose...can't say how many friends I've sent over to check your blog out!!)

If I did an individual count of stamps, I'm way into the thousands....as in oh dear, big sets = 20+ stamps..um, so that would be about 10,000 individual stamps. Doing m math here - 20 stamps per set (so I don't have to count my single stamps, etc) x 500 sets=10,000 stamps! OMGooooooooosh! AND I probably have more than THAT! SCARY!!!!!
Hi right backatcha, Barbara! Thanks for the shout-out, and for sending traffic my way! I think you win on the stamp count, for sure! I've been very good this week, though - not one single, solitary new stamp, even though all these sales were so tempting! Too many irons in the fire already...

*GASP* You might as well ask me how much I weigh! I have about as much probability of answering that truthfully as admitting to how many stamps I have.

Default OH My...

When I answered this a year or two ago I had 800 SU sets alone...That does not include the TAC, Ginak, Papertrey, ODB, Waltzing Mouse, Verve, Inkadinkado and all the other assorted $1.00 stamps..Yikes...way way more now. I have had to go to another 6 drawer iris cart just for the clear stamps. so that makes 12 drawers just for many of my clear stamps.

I just cant begin to count them. I am sure I have way over 100 embossing folders because I buy every one I see...even order the ones from across the pond...

It would take me days to count everything.

I have an insurance rider too, to cover my stamp room.

blessings.

OMG! Too stinking funny! I do kind of wonder the same thing though...

I couldn't answer this question because I'm pretty sure I would pass out if I knew the answer! But I still need more (duh) and I'm waiting for my SU starter kit to get here.... and I'm sure it will only get worse from there. LOL

Well, today...according to my mom (and every day according to DH)...I have too many stamps. And yes, I fumed a little over her "you could always stop stamping remark." But, b/c i'm such a great duaghter (haha) I bit my tongue, very hard...for a couple of hours...until I (mostly) got over it!

Bring on the stamps!!!

I can't remember the exact number and I'd have to take the time to look it up on my Excel spreadsheet, but it's more than 200 and less than 300. That is SETS not individual stamps.

i donated a ton of 12x12 paper to the local elementary school this week, maybe i should consider giving them stamps too. that would make the PTI sets coming soon a little less crowded?

i did inherit some from a friend who stopped stamping (OMG, why would one do that???) and do have a nice collection of $$ stamps.....

but the pricey ones seem to increase each month by a few....

no need to count, too stressful......but now i am curious.....we'll see just how curious in the next few days.....scary thought

I couldn't resist responding to this, lol! I think I've got thousands! 25 blueprint drawers 2 inches deep double stacked plus they've spilled over into several underbed size storage bins. It would take me into next year to count them all. Wanna come play?

After checking out my Excel sheet, I have 722 SU sets, 78 SU wheels, 208 Non-SU sets, and 768 single stamps totaling $20,379.54. This DOES NOT include a large basket of unmounted stamps I haven't put in Excel yet.

The total of my craft room (stamps, tools, books, furniture, and storage) is just over $36,000. My husband has pointed out to me that this is more than we paid for our first house (about $30,000.)

You are so right! My husband was telling me the other day that I must have over $10,000 in stamping supplies. I think it might be even more, but I won't tell him that ;) I just remind him of his huge calculator collection that sits in the closet or the sports car that he never drives...he.....he. At least I use my stuff!

I know! It wasn't until I did the spreadsheet that I realized just how much it was.:o I told DH that I got some of it for free (either as hostess items or working booths in exchange for product) but it might add up to a 10th of the total.

I started stamping in November 2009 - I have 135 CTMH stamp sets. I also have a few other clear stamps, Bildi, Magnolia, C.C. Designs, and SU! that I haven't even started taking inventory of. I haven't counted the individual stamps - I'm not sure that I could even find the time to.

I have to re-do my craftroom for the 3rd time because I'm out of room again.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for this thread. I've been reading some of the numbers to DH. It makes me look soooooo good. He knows how many I have because he built the stamp frame and shelves to hold them....so he is right pleased with my number of wood mounts compared to so many of you guys.

What he doesn't know is all The Angel Company sets I have in CD cases. ;-)

My wood mounts total 75 stamps and that includes 2 sets of SU.

I don't invest in many of the clear sets....I have 2 sets of CTMH, 1 set of Peachy Keen faces and 4 sets of Tim Holtz.

I have about 40 sets of The Angel Company.

Right now, I'm working on acquiring Egyptian stamps to use in my DD's Egypt trip album.

I haven't finished counting. Basically those are the ones where I bought on line and was able to transfer the details into an Excel sheet and get the sheet to add them up.

If I had to take a guess, I'd say about 500 stamps.

My friend thought she was "helping" me one day by taking all of my sets out of their boxes and putting them into separate drawers. She got bored while babysitting DS and wanted "something to do".

Um - no - that didn't help me

I always tell DH that I'm just a "craft supplies and magazine" kind-of girl. Not lots of clothes, jewlery, make-up or shoes like his ex

Nope, you're not a hoarder....LOL I'm nearing 500 SU stamp sets and I thought I had a lot until I saw some of the replies here.

You need to change your name to "stamp_chicken".

Get in there and count those eggs....I mean stamps.

I think we all have some serious "using" ahead of us to redeem our "collective" hoarding.
