Let's see, I own: Whimsical Upper and Lower, Best Friends Upper and Lower, Headline, Letterpress, Big Deal, Mod, Notebook, Crayon Upper and Lower (retired), Contemporary (retired), Alphabits, Bold (retired), Rough Edges, Typeset Upper and Lower, Well-Worn, Animal Alphabet, Tidy (retired). I think I have more but I can't remember right now. I've only used Tidy on a card. I also scrapbook so I use the alphas mostly for scrapbooking.

4... I just have small alphas for cards. None are SU. The Snap-Stamps are nice because I don't have to work at getting the lines straight. With the others, I make sure that they are in "squiggly lines" (maybe that's an oxymoron). They look better squiggly than if just one letter is out of line.
I own 3 sets of Stampin' Up alphabets
3 sets of Memory Makers foam alphabets
and 2 sets of the Memory Makers magnetic alphabets
I mostly use them in my scrapbooks. I use the magnetic ones on cards the most .. I can spell out different words or verses that I may not have a sentiment stamp for
I own about forty and almost never use them for cards--all the time for scrappin', though. For cards, I will occasionally use letterpress or headline for monogram cards.... I really want the snap stamps for cards. Oh, well, like I need another alpha set....LOL!
I know I own lots, but only one SU which is Tall Tales. I have to admit that I'm an alpha junkie. I started out my stamping collection with alphas and numbers with scrapbooking and lets just say it has progressed from there. I have foam, clear stamps, rubber, snap stamps, and 2 magnetic fonts. I don't think I have any unmounted rubber alphabets though.
I think I have about ten including rubber, clear and foam. I've used all of them on cards, the larger ones, especially the foam ones I use alot in my scrapbooking.
Is "too many but I want more" an acceptable answer? My favorite is my newest - TAC's alphagrunge. I also love Collage. The one I use most frequently is the retired crayon alphas. Seriously thinking about getting an alpha for my cuttlebug too.

Letter press. Small and upper Polka Dot Amuse Clear alpha and a tiny set my husband gave me from another company that I can't remember. I rarely use any of them. Guess I need to re think alphas!

I need to use mine more! Actually they're what got me started stamping! I got a couple Hero Arts sets to use in my scrapbooks! I have Letterpress, Headline, Whimsical Lower, Typeset Lower (I need both those uppers!), Brushstroke Double, Classic Double, Alphadots, Rough Edges, and Big Deal. I had Pure and Simple and Simple Type, but I sold them to a customer when they retired. I should've kept them!

I should be embarrassed... I had to go look before I could answer :p
I own SU!'s Letterpress, Quirky (lower), Whimsical (lower) and Brushstroke. But, then I have three from Mobe, and two from ClubScrap, and two SnapStamp sets.
So, that's 10 sets.
What do I use them for? Mostly, they just sit on my shelf and I look at them
Let's see if I can remember without having to go look: Headline, Brushstroke, Tidy, Newsprint, Alphabet Fun upper, and two sets from Hero Arts, one of them is just like SU's Alphadots. And I can honestly say that I feel like I have enough of something, lol.

I also own Tall Tales, Spunky and a couple of Snap Stamps. Guess I should have done an inventory before I started listing. I love the alphas! I am always amazed by the new styles they come out with each year.

I have too many to count and from all different vendors. I use them for scrapbooking and cardmaking. From the tiniest ones to the Monograms depending on the look I want.
I own Antique Alphabet Upper, Lower & Numbers(all retired), Balloon Alphabet(also retired), and Brushstroke Alphabet. The only one I ever use is Brushstroke.
I also have the Alphabet Antiques Upper, Lower, and numbers. For me, that's it for SU.
I also own a set that I bought at a craft store. I love the font, but drives me crazy because it's not cut close. I always get a line around one of the letters and have to re-do the whole thing.
I'm seriously considering Headline or Letterpress.
A lot! 6 from SU, one from DOTS, one from PSX, 3 snap stamp sets, two from the teacher supply store, 5 clear acrylic sets from DJ Inkers, 2 from sugarloaf. I think that's it for alpha stamps.
Then there are the die cutters - Sizzlits nouveau, sizzix alphaclips, cuttlebug You aren't the boss of me, Cuttlebug Olivia, and tomorrow I am getting to open Cuttlebug typewriter, red tag sale and baby face.
I think that's all, but I could be missing something...
I have Brushstroke, Headline and Tidy alphabets.. the only one I have used on cards is the Headline for a couple of monogram cards. I have used the others on scrapbook pages.
