There was a hint that I got on here to store them in pringle containers, I think you can fit around 7 regular wheels in one container. The tip also suggested that you make a sample of each wheel and add that around your container so you know what's inside (I haven't done that part yet though!)
the cartridges I store in a hot wheels plastic container, in the small zip lock bags you can get from Walmart, helps to keep them from drying out. the zip bags are little, like 1-1/2 by 2? Hope this helps!

I bought one of those things meant to hold and organize screws and nuts and things at Lowe's. It has 60 drawers.
I am in the process of organizing it.
But eventually it will have a square punched of each color. In each drawer I can fit a reinker, the wheel cartridges, and a sponge.
I love Purplewinkles idea.
I, like Karrieg, also store mine in the alphabet channel boxes. I have one for the small cartridges and another for the jumbo cartidges. They are great because there is no chance that the lids of the cartridge come off.
I use the divided alphabet case for mine. Get together with some friends and split an order.
They also work well for holding reinkers - one case will hold a family or reinkers.
I have a clear plastic drawer stacked thingy that I got at an estate sale, and one drawer in the stack holds all of my cartridges and my handle. The drawers are each about the size of a small shoebox, and it's handy because with the clear plastic I can pull the drawer up and see in all sides to locate the color I want.
Not very organized -- but I put all my wheel cartridges in a plastic zip bag, which keeps them from drying out. I actually stopped buying the cartridges when I realized that I could just use a stamp pad to ink up the wheels. I only do cards, so that works fine. I think if I were to use it on a scrapbook page, it wouldn't. One time around the wheel and the ink would begin to fade.
