I just started making cards about a month ago. I am a scrapbooker and when I realized I could make my personal blog (that I do so friends & family can keep up with my family of five) into a book, I thought, "why don't I focus on scrapbooking only a few things and start making cards instead?"
So, now I have about 30 cards and want to be able to store them by theme somehow. I also just signed up to be a SU! demo, so I'll be making many more!
I store them in a cute little Longenberger basket. I am a SU demo and use this to cart them to workshops. People can flip through them and pass them around. All of my other cards or cards from retired sets, I have in a regular ol' photo album with slots. I have them categorized by holiday, flowers, animals etc. Everyone seems to have a different way of organizing their cards! Some of my older cards that I've grown tired of, I just send to people for whatever occasion. It is quite easy to accumulate lots of cards quickly
Hope this helps!
I have mine in a long wicker basket, I'm quickly running out of room though! I just love baskets and storing things in them though so I'll probably just buy another one;)
I have plastic sleeves w/4 to a page pockets that I keep in a notebook to take to my workshops. I did also use this for my retired sets at home, but just got too many so I took them all out and seperated them into the ones I liked and the ones I didn't like - they will go in different boxes and get stored on a shelf (ha! ha!) and probably donated one day. The ones I really liked, I will keep in a basket to flip through for ideas and color combos.

I store all of mine in Photo Storage boxes. I used Labels that come in the photo box for Different Catagories, Like (Birthdays, Thinking of you, Thanks, Thank you, Just Because..)

Woo-hoo! Mine are in a Longaberger Spring basket. They are divided by birthday, Christmas, thank you, congratulations, and miscellaneous (which means could be any occasion).
I love the photo storage boxes from Micheal's- there is a pic of mine in my gallery on the shelves in my craft room! They come with dividers and are available in tons of designs/colors! I have one that I take back and forth to work to sell my cards to co-workers- it's so easy to display them in the clear envelopes sold by SU!

I store mine in Provocraft lunch tins, which are altered of course.
But, also, I bought an enormous supply of no-flap clear bags, size 4 5/8 by 5 7/8. When I finish a card, I select an envelope, sometimes stamp it, then put both the envelope and card into the plastic sleeve. Then the sleeve goes into the appropriate tin.
I get about 30-35 cards into a tin, and I tend to make medium thick cards with a fair amount of dimensionals/hardware. I love this system and the tins look pretty sitting out.
Attaching a picture, for those who prefer visuals. I pulled one card out (it's resting on the inside cover of the tin), you can see the shine of the plastic sleeve and the white envelope behind the black card base.

Congrats on your Tech Tues win and your new demoship!
I store my cards in a photo box but my very favorites are stored in an altered lunchbox. If you want to store them in a binder type system, there is a place online that sells clear protectors that fit 4 cards to a page. I can link you if you're interested.
I found an old wooden recipe box the other day which is just the right size for my A2 cards. I don't typically have that many on hand at any one time but it will hold 35-40.
