My SU demonstrator told me about it at my last party. She did warn me, but I checked it out anyway. I could lose my job soon - spend waaaaaay too much time here.
LOVE IT!!! Got many great ideas!!!!!
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A demo told me about it, but it seemed like she was bit reluctant to share it with me because maybe I would learn that she didn't come up with all those great ideas on her own, and only wanted me to go to her for stuff? But it was the best thing she could have done as far as marketing goes - I have since spent a ton of money on SU stamps, after seeing such great examples! AND, after being totally addicted since Day 1, I have since become a demo, and it was all because of the great ladies on here, and the wonderful support everyone offers! SCS ROCKS!!
Someone mentioned this site on the SU demo site (Stampin Discuss), and I checked it out. I didn't get addicted right away...but over a few months I noticed I started to spend more and more time here. Now I check out things on the site all the time. I think SU should give SCS a grant or something...because I spend a lot more $$ on stamps now than I ever did before!
I think I found this site through a Stampin' Up! group on Yahoo. I should remember since it wasn't even a week ago. LOL But my brain has been overloaded by all the incredible ideas on here!!
July 2003...I'm number 706. . . . .I was curious about which number I was, so I scrolled through the memberlist.
Actually, Jan, you're # 698 according to Daven's handy-dandy way to find out instead of going through the memberlist! Just hover your mouse over the profile button under a post, and you'll see their member number!
When I met Beate (after I picked her up on Stampin' Discuss, LOL), we traded sites we liked to visit for ideas. She gave me this one, and I lurked for a while before I joined. It's been amazing to see this place grow so quickly!
I was doing a search on Google for Stampin' Up! galleries and came across SCS. Ummmm.....I don't think I have left this chair since I joined in May. I can't seem to pull myself away from the computer. I love this site! It is so AWESOME!
Beate mentioned it in her Yahoo group (which I found through a Yahoo search on SU).
I hate to admit I hardly even check THAT website anymore! But then....I hardly check ANY websites anymore since finding my home on the net!! (Well, except the order screen on the SU Demo site!)

I don't know what # I am...and the hovering mouse trick doesn't work for me, and I can't figure out a simple way to search for myself!
WAHHHH!
You're #5271

I also was doing searches for card ideas since my friend introduced me to stampin and I needed to find out so much more! I found SCS and Nutnhoney and several others but I tend to come here all the time....

oh golly, i don't even remember, but i SURE AM GLAD i found it!!!! it's hard to believe that when i joined in JUNE i was #5541 & now we're up to the 20,000's!!!!!!!!!! (and i've told about 1/2 that many people about this site!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !)

I found out about this site on a scrapbooking website I go to called scrapshare, someone was asking for information on stamping websites and this is the only one I ever looked at...I think it is great, I am here much more often than there now...I mentioned this site to my demo a few weeks ago and she wondered how I found it, she was already coming here though, just nevered shared her secrets I guess!!!

I was directed to this site when I posted a question on the Stampin' Up! forum. I couldn't tell you the question, but I remember I found the answer here!!!
~~Crystal~~
I found out about it from a friend I stamp with . She told me about it and I forgot the name ,so one day I was talking to her on the phone and ask her what the name was again. This time I wrote it down and finally checked it out, boy was I impressed. I signed up right away , but lurked a while before I got brave enough to post.
Thanks Jan I live here know !
I heard about it a long time ago on a Yahoo group. I signed up, but it was not very busy back then. So I kept active on my Yahoo groups and only visited here occasionally. I recently returned to SCS and was SHOCKED at how busy it was and by how much it had grown! Just blew me away! According to the rollover thingy I'm member #194.
What struck me was that for every person who posts, there are 3 or 4 people who have NEVER posted!
I noticed a lot of the original members have not posted at all. I wonder if they even know how much SCS has changed since they signed on. Bet they haven't been back to see. Hummmmmm.....
I was looking a the Two Peas in a Bucket Gallery and noticed a lot of people talking about SCS. So I checked it out and haven't had time for anything else since!
I found out about this site through my stamping buddy and SU demo/leader fantazmo...she is always sending out links and things to help generate ideas, but this one......is amazing!!!
I found it on stampin discusss. Now I don't hardly ever look at anything there anymore. I only go to do orders, see if they are picking, see if there is any news. That is about it. I am always on here! It is scary! In a good way of course
My demo, Lori, told me about it. I laugh because some of you talk about losing your jobs because of it... listen to this: Lori's daughter is one of the students at my school (I'm a teacher) and one day she came by to visit during one of my prep periods, saw me surfing the net, and gave me the URL on the spot! She called it her "little secret" - but with 20,000 strong, she must have one BIG mouth!
PS - That hovering over the profile button doesn't work for me, either... Does anyone know what MY member number is??

My demo mentioned it and all the other gals in our SU Club went. "Oh yeah! It's great! I got the idea for this card......." So I looked it up and find myself surfin' the Splitcoasts every day.
I feel like I have a whole ton of friends out here even though I have never met anyone in person.
My demo Lori told me about it. I don't know why some demos don't tell their customers....I'm addicted to this site! It keeps me stamping and inspires me to buy things I never would have looked twice at in the catty.
Well the old adage you can lead a horse to water and you can't make them drink fits me ..... my SU demo, Susan Polcari (mom2katjon) tried unsuccessfully many times during the spring to get me over here..... finally in Sept I popped in and OMG OMG OMG..... could kick myself for waiting soooooo long!
Susan, bless her soul, knew this was the place for me to spread my wings and learn some neat tricks! Gosh SCS has been a great site for me and I am ALWAYS posting stuff about the site on a scrapbooking site I help manage....
Plus thanks to SCS I am beginning to be Susan's best spender! LOL..... good for her but bad for my pocketbook! I visit the site often, and am posting more and more these days.
Only been gusty enough to show 2 of my cards thus far (my 2 favorites) and hopefully in the future to show/share more! (GOT TO KEEP PRACTICING FIRST you know...lol)..
I was searching for craft/stamp scrap rooms online and came across a link to the gallery. Decided to look around a bit more and haven't managed to leave since. I know my demo lurks around here (lesleym)
