Wow, I know I'm a little behind in the times, but I didn't realize just how many colors retired the last time from SU. Glad I wasted all that money!
Glad it's not just me then. I have been unhappy about this since it was announced. I am in the UK and we haven't had SU for too long. The emphasis was on "build up your colour collections". So I did. Not a happy bunny!!
I agree...just because it's retired doesn't mean it can't be used. I have tons of retired CS and I'm still using it and will continue to do so until it's gone and since most of the colors coordinate in one way or another even some of the retired inks are still usable with the new colors..... :-)

Just do not obsess that the cardstock and the ink, etc. MUST be matching. Lots of colors look very nice together. And many of the new colors really are not that far from the old ones. In fact, I really like many of the older ones better than the new ones.....where are the purples? And the reds are not as lovely....Just my opinion, but the old cardstock will serve me well for a very long time...I purchased my favorites before they went away.

You know what's really good, too? Try having gotten CS packs, ALL of the Spots, AND ALL of the Reinkers in the mail THE DAY the color change was announced!! That was a good feelin'!! NOT!!
And, of course, yes, you could return them, but then you would have to pay return postage!

Many, many stampers were upset with good reason.
Some just say- its no big and they do not get it. Well when you do submit for publications and such - as mentioned above everything must be current product.
So yes stampers do have a right to be upset about it.
I understand that SU did that but they could have given more of a warning or a trade in option for all those customers that spend lots of money in those retired colors.

I do "get it" and I am not saying that you don't have a right to be upset about it. What I am saying is that it isn't a waste because you can still use it, just not on items you submit for publication. It would be a waste if you just had to throw it all away. There are still a good amount of colors that you can use that they did not retire.
