Has your Holiday Mini catalog come in the mail yet? Mine hasn't! :( I've looked at it through the link somewhere on here but would like to see it in person. Am I the last person in the world to receive theirs (overly dramatic statement....preparing for my return to teaching middle school....)?
I just got mine in the mail today. My demo told me that they had been delayed in mailing from SU. So I'm sure yours is still coming & you'll have it in a few days.

Nope, you are not the last one to get your catty. No sign of it here on the west coast either. :( I'll be stalking my mailbox this week, though!!

I thought that I was the last person on Earth to get mine (still not here), but I guess not! Cripes almighty! You think that they would want us to get them so that we could drool and plan!
My mom and I were talking about this this morning. Our demo was asking if anyone else got theirs earlier in the week. Glad to hear that they are one their way.
It's the eve of September 4 and still no sight of the Holiday Mini in my mailbox. Sure would think SU would have them in our hot hands before the 1st.

Not sure if this is the place to post this question. I really love the tree die in the Holiday mini, but wondered if anyone had suggestions as to how to use it for something other than Christmas. I can't really justify buying it just to use for one season a year. I don't have any young children at home or grandchildren that I might could try ideas with. All suggestions appreciated.

it's coming! Hang in there! It was delayed. Trust me, it is worth that wait!! And don't forget to ask your demos about the $250 workshop special to get an item out of the mini for just $10.

I heard that someone did a Halloween tree, if that appeals to you. I'm sorry I have no link--I don't "celebrate" Halloween so I never actually went and looked at it.
Make sure (if you get the die) that you try it in Shimmery White cardstock--SO pretty!!!

This, too, is an excellent idea! There are companies that make a colored shimmery cardstock in several color choices; I've seen it at Target and from Marcos (online), and at a LSS. Similar to the gold and silver, but in other colors.
As of late Friday afternoon, Houston hasn't made the cut yet, either! But my demo is my next door neighbor...she's such a sweetie....so I've looked at hers!

I've also seen the die used in a camping and outdoor theme, cut with black cardstock for a Halloweenish theme, and something else that I can't remember right now, but will come back and share if/when I remember.
This is going to be SUCH a fun die! it is really just amazing how it all folds together. The first one is kind of crazy to make, but when it's all done you look at it and go, "Huh. Cool." And start making another immediately : )

I'm so glad that I'm not the only one without their mini! I have been stalking my mailbox since Sept. 1. I have been looking at it through a link, but I like having a hard copy in my hands to drool over.
Thanks for letting us know it's running late....what's up with that anyway?

Oh, crap, Lyssa and I was hoping to have that be at least one thing that I wouldn't buy! YOu just blew that plan! Thanks a lot!
BWAHHH!!! :( No mini catty here!! So sad!! Maybe next week? I am hopefull anyway. ;) I had to look at it online, but it's just not the same as having it my hands.

I got the holiday window punches, to use in the bigz card window die, but they can be used separately, too! I placed the cardstock down on the cutting mat, then the "window" die on top and then another plate. Can't remember if I used two B or C plates. Anyway, if you think about it, you would spend twice as much to get the equivalent separate punches (although the window dies are about 1/8 inch bigger all around than the punches, good for layering). And... since I was hostess, I got those four dies for only $10 instead of $30! Woohoo! Who says SU never has sales or good bargains?

Ok, I have to add that I was a bit upset when I saw the 3-D tree die. It is a knock-off of one that was designed years ago by Sandy Jackson at Some Assembly Required: http://www.some-assembly-required.co...mg_num=1&sn=16
IMO Sandy is a paper engineering genius! I have quite a few of her dies and while imitation is a form of flattery, I'm sorry that this may hurt her sales because she has a small business. She specializes in 3-D papercrafting and has many other great designs if you are interested in them.

I am in NC too. I was told that SU would reship the ones that I ordered to be sent to my customers if they weren't received by today....still hoping they will arrive today!
