Default HELP!-Teacher Gifts

My 4th grade daughter got an excellent teacher this year. The problem is that he is a MAN!!! I love to make homemade gifts and goodies throughout the year for my k ids' teachers. I even ordered a JustRite Monogram especially for teachers gifts, so now I'm kind of at a loss. Any ideas?

Even a guy could use a batch of Thank You Notes. You give him a nice note saying, "Thank You for being a great teacher and I know that you will be able to use these notes."
His own monogram on a simple card would be a special surprise.

FOOD is always good! Every teacher I know loves free food. Every time goodies are brought into our teachers' lounge, they are gobbled up immediately.

I am in the same boat both my DD 1st grade and my DS 5th grade have male teachers this year. One of my friends suggested talking to the PTA sunshine person. They are in charge gifts etc. for the teachers and often have a list of likes and dislikes for each teacher.

What about stamping nice masculine gift card holders and including gift cards for things like a car wash, restaurants, movie rental. The gift cards don't have to be expensive... just things that a man would like.

School Supplies!!! Every teacher can use pens, pencils, paper clips, highlighters etc!! How about a coaster box/pencil holder done with some nice masculine (or just striped) DP? You could use his monogram to decorate the outside.
Be careful about sending a ton of food. If everyone in the class sends food, there is no way he'll be able to eat it all and it will go to waste. Also, you never know what allergies he might have or his dislikes.

I think a gift card is a nice idea. My son has had several male teachers and I have given a gift card to Dunkin' Donuts. Ten or even five dollars can get coffee or a donut for several mornings.

My son had a man teacher last year, and I made him blocks with his last name on them. He really seemed to like them, and I was happy to see them displayed when we said hi to him at our school's open house last week.

Thank you for the ideas. Keep them coming! I did order a font for my JustRite--Breyton, or something like that that I thought wasn't too girly. I'm glad you all thought simple note cards or things like that are okay.

I'm not sure if I took photos or not of the ones I made for my son's teacher. Emily is a pro at making them, and made them for Christmas time, with words like Joy on them. Here is hopefully a link to her site.

If they don't show up on this, click under tutorials, and it's block tutorials. I used Toy Box set with my blocks, and put those at two ends, and the teacher's last name, and other five letter words, like green on the other three sides that his name was stamped on.

I thought this would make a really cute gift for a teacher man or woman...
