Default Help with stamping on stretched canvas

I just bought four 6x6 stretched canvas frames. I thought I saw someone's similar project on SCS where the creator stamped and then watercolored the image. Can anyone give me some help figuring out how to do this? Thanks in advance.

OK I have done a quick look and the only thing I can think of is that someone adhered paper to the front of the canvas in a mixed media sort of way and painted that. Watercolor directly on a stretched canvas just doesn't work. There needs to be a base that water color likes.

I think Betsey Veldman just did this on her blog for a design team project. Her projects were really nice - looked like real watercolor end images.

Just checked my bookmark for the blog name: Paper, Scissors and Superheroes.

Ooo that Betsey Veldman tutorial is lovely. I note that those canvases are 3 x 3 at the most.

I did find this in the gallery where they went over an image with inktense watercolor pencils Birdie Birdie by frijheid - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers

Here is a link to that tutorial Paper, Scissors and Superheroes: Mini Masterpieces...

I will be interested to hear your thoughts when you complete your project as when I have passed the mini canvases in the stores I have thought their surface to be a bit smoother than other canvases.

Yes, it was Betsey Veldman's site that caught my attention. Do you think I can do a similar thing with Stampin Up ink? I also have the 48 craft pads. Which do you think would work best?

Should work. Just make sure to use the dye ink, not the pigment/craft ink to get a similar look to what she did.
