Default Help with removing favorites??

I thought I would spend some time today deleting some of my favorites to clean up and organize. Goodness, I didn't realize that at 48 views a page, I had 109 pages! So I started deleting, but I have been doing it for an hour and a half and only removed 2 pages! I find that I can only delete one at a time and then I have to go back to the page I was on to move forward. Does anyone know a more efficient way to do this? I am considering just deleting all (though I don't know if that is an option?) and just starting over. I save card views for stamps I have, layouts I like, stamps/dies I want but it has gotten to be too much!

A couple of thoughts.

One. If you don't need to open the card to evaluate whether you want to keep it or not, then on your faves pages there is a "remove" link under each picture. If you move quickly, you can click on 3 to 6 of them before the page refreshes.

Two. If you want to check each one out, then hold the shift button down while you click on the card. It opens the card in a new window. Then if you want to keep it you just close the window. If you want to delete, just delete then close the window. It's a bit quicker that way.

As for what I do, I have folders on my computer for the stamp sets I have. I regularly go through my faves and save them to those folders, and delete from my faves. I don't do too well with huge files to go through to find ideas.

Another thing you could do is to pin them to folders on Pinterest in the same way.

Deleting all isn't currently an option.
I find the easiest way is to open several at a time in different tabs and then click on the red heart to remove them, that way there is no refresh needed. Just close all the tabs except the first one with all the thumbs, and start again.

Thanks for the helpful hints, Diane! I didn't realize I could do more than than one delete at a time. Thanks also to Sabrina, everyone is always helpful when I need it. i am already down from 109 pages to 74 from yesterday, so quite pleased with my progress! I do want to get to the point where my favorites are useful again and as I have grown more comfortable with my stamping style realize many of the pages I saved just aren't my style though I loved their look! Thanks again and happy stamping!

Well, I don't really think that things are really set up to do more than one delete at a time. I just discovered that by accident. I just tried moving quickly to click on the "remove" link and see how many I could do before the page refreshed. Gotta be quick with the mouse! Works pretty good, though, if you are just deleting and not evaluating!

Thank you for asking b/c I had forgotten to do it in the past 2 weeks.

I save to my favs for 2 reasons
1) for the weekly list
2) b/c there is a technique I dont know and want to try, a product I want to get, etc.

I was getting into the same place you are in...and I sat and culled out the #1s and since then I am trying to do it as soon as I post my list while it is still fresh in my head which are which without opening.

Fionna that trick works! Thank you!

I do as Diane does. I'm pretty quick and can click remove on several.

Favorites is in the gallery. To mark something you like as a favorite, click on the heart under the picture of it. That saves it in your favorites! Then when you are in the gallery just click on My Favorites to the left.

I have always thought there should be a way to organize favorites into various folders so that if you're looking for a specific thing you know you favorited it would be easier to find. Then you could have designated folders for different stamp sets or techniques or occasions or whatever.
Or maybe there is already a way to do this and i just need someone more tech savvy than me to explain it!

I wish you could store them according to when you favorited them. Some I favorited today were from five years ago, so if I forget when it was originally made, I have to figure another way to find it!

The solution to this is to join Pinterest. You can set up "boards" under different topics (eg. Animals on Cards, Masculine Cards, Background Techniques, etc.) and then "pin" the card to that folder. Every card on Splitcoaststampers has a Pinterest button under the image so it is very quick and easy.

Here's a link to one of my Pinterest boards so you can see what it looks like:

https://www.pinterest.com/susanbri/b...nd-techniques/

If you scroll down, you'll notice some of the cards come from Splitcoaststampers - you can then click on it and get back to the SCS post to see all the details.

I would LOVE this. Sometime back SCS said they were coming out with a great new feature for Favorites, and I soooo hoped it would be a sorting, file or folder option, but alas, it was not. Maybe someday..?

I don't know when it will happen, but I know that the second phase of the gallery update hadn't happened yet, and I think that more functionality for My Favourites was high on the wishlist. Keep hoping!I agree, Kathy...I often favourite older cards too!

"Favorites" is probably a folder that I should seriously weed through ... but I know that I clicked on items for an inspiration reason, whether it was colors, wish list of stamps, to list in the weekly faves, to use for challenge inspirations, or a combination of visual goodies for enabling when stumbling for mojo at any give time.

But the idea of "really" weeding through with a "purpose" is almost scary to this chick!
