Lightbulb HELP!! Need a Special Stamp...

Hello...(Hope I'm in the right spot for this...)

I'm in need of a specialized stamp and I'm hoping someone here will be able to lead me in the right direction. My pastor would like to have some cards made that say "From the Pastor" on them or something similar. I know I can have a stamp specially ordered, but I'm hoping there's a set out there with the words "Pastor" and "From" that I've just not been able to find. I looked (hurridly) through the SU on-line catalog this morning and didn't see anything. Anyone know of another option? I would TOTALLY be your on-line best friend forever!!!!! ;) TIA!!!

Why don't you use the CTMH (or other) clear alphabet set so that you can create the saying on the acrylic block and stamp

I've thought about that, and since I have an alphabet set already I'm using that as a back up... But he wants about 1000 cards. I love to stamp, but even for me, that's a lot of stampin!! I was just hoping there would be a "Say it with Words" (or similar) stamp set out there that I'm just not smart enough to think of. More than likely, I'll have him design his own stamp. I was just thinking this would be more fun...at least for me!!

You can get your own stamp made from stamp-connection.com & have it say anything you want- including your church's name or whatever. I have ordered many stamps from them & they have a really quick turnaround time.

HTH!

The last time I was in Buffalo, before Christmas, either A. C. Moore or Jo-Ann's had some religious stamps in their clearance bin. Sorry, I can't remember exactly which store it was as we made the rounds of all the stamping stores that day.

Okay, I have to say the 1,000 cards SCARED me to say the least! WOW!

Frankly, since I'm a really lazy stamper I would buy the 65lb cs that is pre-perf'ed and scored in the A2 size and run the "From the Pastor" and what ever else made sense on the computer. Then, I would stamp. Or, I would use acrylic stamps to spell it out, do a few designs and then take them to a local print shop to color copy them on the preperf'd/scored cs. You can get several varieties of this cs at office depot/max. I just can't envision stamping that many cards at one time. But that is me. I'm always in stamp and run mode.

OOOOPS! Strike that last comment on photocopying your several designs to save time. Can't do that due to copyright violations. Each one would have to be hand stamped not to violate that rule. You could, however, still run the "from the pastor" onto the cards though. Boy, I miss that edit button!

I just checked out the website (great site, btw) and will point out a couple to him tomorrow after church. He might decide to just do a single image and then a handwritten note on the inside. (Here's hoping!! hahaha)

I think what I'll do is give him the web address for stamp-connection.com (thanks RynMattsMom!!!) and let him check the ones out they have there before I go any further on this. The sample one I did for him only took me a couple of minutes but I started to figure in all the letters (1000 of each) plus all the adhesive, ink, etc and think that's going to be the best route for him to go.

Thanks for all the help, everyone!!!!!

www.justritestampers.com has stamps that I think you can make say whatever you want. And they are preinked, so you just push the handle down and Voila!

Not sure if they have anything you want, but they are nice to work with.

The Stampin Place in Minnesota does custom stamps. I'd consider going that route because you have so many to stamp. I've ordered from them and highly recommend them!
