Exclamation New stamper help!! I need ideas for b-day invites!

My son's 2nd birthday party is on the 23rd of July and I need some ideas. I bought some plain white post cards at Joann, but I'm at a loss for anything else. I will add that I am pretty new to stamping.

We really don't have a "theme", just bright colored balloons and streamers. I have all different colors of carstock, but not many sets of stamps. I'll list them:

Fancy Foliage
Stipple Celebrations
Shapes and Shadows
Fall Whimsy
Something to Celebrate
Sincere Salutations
One other that I have, I can't remember the name, but it was in the 2005 Spring Sell-a-bration catalog. It's got a stamp that says "I'd rather be shopping", one that has 3 candles, one with little swirls. I think it starts with an S.

Anything will help at the moment! I'd appreciate it!

I would say use your Stipple Celebration set in bright colors using the balloon and the star-looking stamp. The fact that you are taking the time to hand make them is a treasure. Just have fun at the party!! Before you know it, he will be 13!!!

I was thinking the Stipple Celebrations too. The only thing is, I only have a black classic pad and some off brand spots. Maybe I'll have to bite the bullet and buy some new pads?

The spots I have aren't super bright, but I think I saw some bright ones on clearance at Joann.

I think the Stipple Celebrations images could look really cool done in black on the colored cardstock! Maybe cut the images out and arrange them in a cool way at the top of the postcard with the "You're Invited" from Sincere Salutations below that with the rest of the info below.

You can also look in the gallery at all the Stipple Celebrations stuff for more inspiration!

ps... I saw your sig line... I have a toddler who was a 27 week preemie!

Thanks, I'll go to the gallery.

Is that your baby in your av? How big was she when she was born? I have neice who was a 25 wker, she was 1lb, 9oz. She is 6 and couldn't be better. She had a few heart problems right after birth, but other than that she's great!

How old is your little one now? Is s/he doing well?

Okay I just had to comment because I have twins born at 27 weeks! Both are doing great at 4! Anyway........if you had a theme it might help you out. I LOVE doing unique invites (not always stamping). Check out the website birthdaypartyideas.com and you might be inspired. If you come up with something more specific - trains, barbie, etc. let me know!

Good Luck!

This is not really stamping, but it is an idea.

What I did for my sons' christening invites, I copied a pic of him in black and white on light blue cs and then printed the invite in vellum and put that on top of the blue cs and punched holes and added a ribbon bow. Very classy and cute.

Just an idea.
