I am going through a really rough time!!!!!!!!!!  (please don't laugh)
I am just in love with all those whipper snapper stamps and anyways I asked dh if I could get some, of course he says, well if you THINK you need them.
Well of course right away I am thinking ...YES I NEED THEM...but then after a few minutes guilt sets in and I realize that by the time they get to my door, (bieng in Canada, I am always stuck with paying the fee from the border (Which has been about $10-15.00), regular shipping and the taxes and exchange rate, I am out about $25.00 if not more just for one stamp...sigh....
THIS REALLY STINKS!!!! Now I wish I lived in the states AGAIN!
Oh well..... I just can't stop thinking about those cute images, this is really a problem!!!!!
So ANYWAYS... the better side of me kicks in, okay I better not!!!! sigh.... Well I guess such is life!!
Anyways sorry about having had this HUGE self pity trip, I just had to vent!!
Thanks for bieng so patient and for reading this.

thanks everyone! I think I am just going to try and plan a trip out to the states someday and then go nuts stamp shopping! ;) Thanks for all the ideas!

I know it's unorthodox, but if you like a few of their designs Tracey you can print them out on your printer from their online catty then use a light box to 'trace' them onto cardstock. They are simple designs and easy to trace. OK, I know it's copying and might be a copyright infringement, yet if it's for yourself I don't see the harm and this way you can find out if you really like them or not.

Hmmmm...probably not a good suggestion to make. What if people started doing that with the SU! catty and then nobody bought from demos?

I know what you mean KraftPhreak and I agree. Yet I think that the availability, ease and quickness of use of your own stamp sets keep people using them. Tracing has been around since we were all in elementary school so it's not a new idea.....It's just one that most people don't have the time or the incination to do. However for someone over in Canada who is figuring out whether or not she would spend @ 20.oo on a single stamp it might help her decision. If your going to go through the time and effort of tracing a stamp over and over then you know you will use it and it's worth the price of out of country delivery.

Oh mamakimberly, that is a VERY generous idea, however I do feel a bit like I'm free loading, does that make sence? If someone would like to do that for me I would be in MY GLORY~I would perfer though to send a self addressed envelope to those generous ladies willing to do that. They just need to pm their address to me.
The stamps I am drooling about are...Party Koala and no peeking mouse.
I just LOVE those, I wish I could just stop thinking about them though!
Thanks so much for suggesting this for me.

I know the exchange rate of money is different in Canada, but you have to pay extra besides shipping, like border charge if it's shipped? Man, that would have to be a "no looking ever At temptation for me" but then you do really value it, if paying extra, just have to cut expenses somewhere else, just like the years gas prices to deal with, right. I agree with MamaK. I only have one whipper snapper, but I can also send you some of my cute Inkadinkado and Penny Black images! I'll even use stazon so you can color them as you wish!
Put a request in the Different Kind of Swap thread. You can list the SU stamps you have and say that you would LOVE to have some images from Whipper Snapper Stamps. Sometimes you can exchange CS for the stamped images too. That way you're not "free-loading" KWIM?
I've done this a lot It's a great way to expand your image collection!

Thank makes more sense. I think I understand what you mean now.

that is a lot of money for a stamp. Maybe you can request someone to stamp up some images for you. I have done that on other lists before we will trade images so you don't have to buy the stamp.

Wow! I pm'd Tracey before reading all of these offers. Tracey, I think you could put together a swapped image thing with Whippersnapper. You could offer images of something else in exchange. People would respond for sure. I only have a few, but I plan to collect one or two a month because there is an awesome stamp store in my town that carries only Whippersnapper & Inky Antics (another favorite of mine). I just bought the candles on the front page of their website, and I was surprised to see them at the front -- must be brand new, but they are so darn cute.
Wow racey I guess I am lucky living in the middle of the Great Plains, because in all my cross-border stamping product transactions I've yet to have to deal with all the fees you seem to get dinged with regularly. Maybe there is a good stamp store in Watertown, NY or something, but hopefully the image swap works out!
I have quite a few WS stamps!!! I'm lucky enough (as I've bragged many mnay times, lol) to live near the store that carries ALL of them. The stamps are made here in Brookfield WI & the same person owns the company & the store they are sold in. I don't have the 2 you're specifically looking for, but I have many others. I'd be happy to send you some images, let me know
I don't know a lot about the border thing but couldn't you avoid some of those type of charges if say like someone from the United States just mailed them TO you like in a care package or something??
