Help with EF's and vellum

I'm trying to use the Stampin Up heavy weight vellum in an embossing folder but keep getting cracks in the vellum- any tips?

Maybe try spraying the vellum with rubbing alcohol before embossing? Or water? I know this helps with card stock, I'm not sure about vellum

I have not used that vellum but I am going to guess that is quite thick if it is cracking like that - are you able to adjust your 'sandwich' any, as it sounds like it is getting to much force.

I haven't used that particular vellum but you could try putting a piece of copy paper behind the vellum before embossing. I know it sounds a bit counter-intuitive as you're making something thicker but it does sometimes help.

I tried putting the vellum between 2 pieces of copy paper and it seems to be better.
