I had a retired set "Bow Wow" for sale and someone jumped on it immediately yesterday. So, I packaged it up to be mailed as soon as I recieve her MO.
Today my dog got ahold of the package and shredded it and pulled the rubber off the wood blocks. I don't know if there's a way to salvage the set but I am going to try.
My concern....what do you tell the buyer that just mailed a MO today for the set. Of course, I'll send the money back but I am feeling REALLY bad!!!
I feel for ya. My puppy just ate the "D" and the "A" from my Alphadots. Of course, I was planning on demoing a "DAD" card. I was able to remount them (minus the foam), but there are teeth marks in the images. ARGH!
I would just tell her what happened. Try mounting it and seeing if the image is damaged. If you have a scanner, you could scan the prints and see if she says they are okay. If not, like you said, you can refund her $.
Accidents happen. (I NEVER ... almost never.... leave my stamp room open).

I'm sorry...I shouldn't laugh, because if it was me I'd be in tears. But...does it strike you funny that it was the Bow Wow set? :?
Again, I'm sorry for laughing, and even more sorry that it happened! If I were the customer, I'd completely understand, because I'm a dog person myself!
I contacted the buyer but haven't heard from her yet. Yes, it is ironic that it's Bow Wow but I also felt bad because when things happen the dog always gets blamed for eating the homework, etc. Instead, my lame excuse is she ate my stamps.
That is really crappy, sorry for your stamps :( , our pets sometimes are like young children. I have a cat and he likes to paw and play hockey with any of my stuff and if he hears me wadding up a piece of paper of any size he comes running, he loves wadded up paper. Yes he does like to walk over stuff I am working on and even lay on my stuff. I will be here typing and he'll hop up here and try to walk in from of my screen and step on my keyboard. Even though they do things, we still love them.
I feel for you but agree that it's hilarious that it was "bow wow".
Our Schnauzer got out of her "space" when she was a puppy and got a hold of my cookie making supplies and got food coloring ALL OVER our LR! Luckily, we were plannig on replacing the carpet, but it looked like a clown was murdered in our house!
