I bought my Heat and Stick several years ago at Stamp Oasis in Las Vegas. I think they were the first to have it. They demo'd it with foil. I don't recall seeing it in the major chain stores. Many stamp stores carry it now. I assume you don't want to wait for a Stampin Up order.
I love Stampin Up, but must admit I want everything now. When I get it, it may sit in the cabinet. I believe it's an obsession.

While we are on the heat and stick subject.... Can someone tell me that they have a secret to using it. I have no luck at all.. I have tried stamping the image with Versamark and also the Embossing pad. The powder does not stick to them well. I reinked both pads prior, and it just doesn't work for me. So frustrating!
I have been stamping for 6 years and never had such a problem... I am ready to toss the stuff! I keep trying because I have seen such cool results. Maybe because I am in AZ, the air is too dry for it to stick?
I'd like some information on it, too. I just ordered some and would really like to know the tricks of using it. I've never seen it demonstrated, but thought it would be nice to have. ('Cause I have to have everything!)

I've used SU's & it seems to work well for me. I just stamp my image in Versamark (or Craft ink), apply heat & stick powder (shake off excess) and heat. Then I apply glitter & heat again (be careful not to over heat or the glitter will burn). HTH
Thanks for the information, Kendra! I hope it works for what I have in mind.

You know, I do remember hearing a loooong time ago that Heat and Stick (aka Sticky Powder) has a shelf life and can get old. How long have you had yours?
I heard it has a shelf life too, but I have had mine going on 3 years and it is going strong. Mine is a mixture of stuff bought at Stamp Stores and SU.
I find that mine works with all pigment pads or Versamark pad. I really had bad luck when I first started using mine because of two things. I would hold it too close to the surface and burn it. You have to hold it just close enough that it looks like its melting or shiny. Then after you pour the glitter on it and shake it off, you heat it again, still being sure not to get too close. Then I brush it so just the glitter that is set is left.
Is anyone using foil anymore with their Heat and stick? I haven't seen any cards anymore lately. Please email me if you have a sample picture to share using it.
