Heat embossing on acetate

Hello,

Has anyone ever tried to heat emboss on acetate?
If so did it work?

In one of the magazines, (new Aug CK) it shows you can. It says not to forget to use the tweezers. Just be sure not to melt the plastic wtih your heat gun by putting it to close.

I haven't. I've read on SCS in the past that you can't heat the SU acetate sheets. The posters suggested going to the office supply store and getting acetate sheets that are safe for going through a copier as they can hold up to the heat.

I have done it. But it is very tricky. There is a presice point at which the emobssing powder is completely melted but the acetate is still in good shape. Just a couple of seconds later the acetate starts to shrivel and wrinkle up. Timing is everything! ;o)

I just tried it. It works ok but not very effective if you are using a stamp with fine lines. I was trying the acetate/tissue paper technique and just tried to see what it would look like. It was okay. make sure you get the acetate that can be put through a copy machine as these can take the heat.
