Can someone give me any more info on this. Is it a book, a magazine, a what? How often does it come out? Can I subscribe to it?
Please please please!
It's a HUGE magazine with almost NO ads. They just changed formats so it comes out 4 times a year now. (Before it was more sporadic.) It's $15 for a single mag, and $60 for a subscription (I got one for Xmas - Thanks Mom!). Try their website...I think its stampinton.com. If not, someone else will know.
So stoked that I made it in, since I didn't submit anything!!
MamaK~
They can use anything you have ever submitted to Stampington, the creator of TakeTen. That is how my first card got in, I submitted to one of the design layout challenges, and they used the card in TakeTen. The fine print says that they reserve the right to use it where they see it fits best. Have you submitted anything to Stampington, or one of their sister pubs?
The other surprising thing is that they changed the description for my Oriental Paintings card...I was disappointed to see that they dropped my first name...wrote that I used "red microbeadz" (Magic Scraps bitty beads), "outlined panel with a thin black marker" (nope, that's part of the stamped image) and "color bird with chalk" (I used bliss blue with an aqua painter). I realize now that they don't want to use brand names (Magic Scraps, Aqua painter) but was amazed as to how much they "edited" my description. I know that they can do that, but they really have changed my description, not just edited it...oh well....not complaining, just surprised.
I read somewhere that they are suppose to hit the magazine stands on March 1st. It is a fabulous magazine, I love it. I'm an "RSVP Package" subscriber and think that they are a wonderful resource. **I meant to add that you can usually buy it at the larger J's and M's** Personally, I believe the way to go is to subscribe....you receive it in your mailbox and don't have to go to the store to buy it and end up buying other "stuff you gotta have"...perhaps that's why I have a gazillion $1 spools of ribbon??!!!

I'm surprised about this too! I submitted a few cards last spring and had cards in the previous two issues. On one card, I used a large stamp by Outlines that had lots of tulips on it. They edited my description to say "repeatedly stamp the tulips". It's just one big stamp....you only stamp it once! It's funny that they think they know better than we do how we made the card!
I don't even remember sending it in. I do remember making it and thinking, this is NOT going to fit in an envelope and look normal. So I guess I sent it to them! LOL
That is weird that they changed your description so much Craftee!!! Really weird!
I went to Barnes and Noble last night but they didn't have the new Take Ten. They did have a couple of the winter edition still. I was very surprised to see that they still had some left. Usually they sell out within days. I will stop back again next week as a previous poster said they would be in the stores around March 1st.
Thanks for the head up !
And CONGRATS to those who's cards got published

Way to go seewah!!!! I can seed why a "make it in 10 min" card such as your four should have been included. Some I've seen in the past would take MUCH MORE than 10 min; I REALLY like yours. Congratulations.

Thanks so much for your kind comments, Wanda! With three little boys in the house, I don't usually have much time for more than 10 minutes per card!
(I agree, some of them in the past have looked as though they took way longer than ten minutes.)
Now I am off to start copying some of the cards in my gallery to submit to the next Take Ten. (Well, maybe once the boys are in quiet time and down for a nap I can go stamp!)
Woohoo stampersharon!!! And Seewah, yours are gorgeous!
Thanks! Yes, Needmorestamps! was kind enough to look thru for me and confirmed that these 3 of mine made it in for the design challenge (definitely more than 10 minutes!):
I was meeting a friend last night for supper and exchange some items. Unfortunately she had to cancel our supper but we still met to exchange our things and what a surprise I got. She gave me the new Spring Take Ten! ! ! I was so surprised and estatic. I just stopped the night before to see if Barnes & Noble had it and they didn't, so I didn't even know it was on the shelves yet. But she had stopped at a local stamp shop and she just got them in and she bought one for me! What a friend So I went home and looked through the whole book and it is great. Your cards are great!

Congratulations to all who were published in this issue. Been enjoying the cards posted in this thread. Could someone please describe the next TT Design Challenge. Haven't seen the issue yet. Thanks.

I LOVED Looking through my copy and seeing so many people that I recognized! Sharon! I loved your cards... they totally stood out. So did Sarah's... I remember thinking how much I loved that ribbon and how you tied it as well as the simple yet effective its a party card! You both have some great design elements!
I am so proud to be among such incredible stampers... My gals Kendra, Pam/Iris and Val really rocked my world... and even some of my Non SCS friends are in this issue.... ITS LIKE A PARTY!
Congratulations ladies on being published. How exciting! Thank you for posting your cards here so that we can take a peak. Borders also carries this magazine. I think I'm going online to order a subscription so that I don't have to race to the store looking for copies. I usually pick one up for my demo as well. Your cards are all just fabulous!
I bought my "take ten" today at this cute stampin' store the dh let me wonder in. I didn't want to wait for Michaels to have it to get 40% off. I wanted/needed it now!!!!!!!!!!
I got my comp. copy a week ago! And it's the first time I've ever had anything published so I was EXCITED! Page 17 (I sent in about 5 or 6 cards several months ago - this is not one of the best at all IMO - go figure!).
