I'm going to be traveling on business for a week in Kansas City and another in Charlotte. Does anyone know of any good LSSs in either city that I just have to visit?

What does LSS mean again? Does it mean "Local Scrapbook Store"? If it does, here are some places to visit (I live in Kansas City)
#1 place to go is: Stamper's Ink
6429 Quivira Rd
Shawnee, KS 66216
#2 place to go is: Scrapbook Page
13205 Shawnee Mission Pkwy
Shawnee, KS 66216
A place that is "ok" to go (it is small, & I think they have two other stores in the metro area as well): All About Scrapbooking
7819 N Oak Trafficway
Kansas City, MO 64118
There are two Archiver's in the KC Metro Area: Archiver's
8616 N Boardwalk Ave
Kansas City, MO 64154
I will have to try Stamper's Ink next time in KC. It probably isn't too far from Scrapbook Page.
Wendy, do you live near Conway? I went down to a scrapbook store there (can't remember the name) and I really liked it! If you drive to KC, and go through Neosho and Joplin, there are good scrapbook stores in both those places. I can't recall the names but if you're interested I can look them up for you, I think I have their customer cards somewhere.

In Charlotte, there is a scrap store on the west side of town at the intersection of 485 and S. Tryon.
The other nice stores are way up on the north side of town in Mooresville. There is the Scrap Shack and Stampers Alley. Both are within a mile or so of each other, so allow time to see both stores. They are off of 77 near exit 33 I think and highway 21.
I don't think I'll be much help, but I will sometimes use my issue of papercrafts to find a local lss. Of course, they aren't all listed, but in the back, there is a listing by state of LS stores.
PS.. I've always wanted to go to the scrap shack in Charlotte for the simple reason that it's co-owned by Dale Earnhardt Jr's sister!
Family Memories (phone number is 704-583-980 is the name of the LSS in Charlotte. They carry stamps (including Bellas and Elzybells now). They are close to the airport if you are staying close by. We also have Hobby Lobby, AC Moore, and Michael's sprinkled in. The Scrap Shack is a great place to go also, but I'm partial to Family Memories.

In the Kansas City area, in addition to the ones already mentioned , there is small one in Lees Summitt. It's called the Stamp Patch. It's small, but has a decent assortment of items, plus, Dona the owner, is a wonderful person.
I'm not sure how long you will be in the Charlotte area, but if you've got some time there is a great store about 1 to 1.5 hours away (north and east) in Lewisville NC. The name of the store is Enchanted Cottage! It is awesome. Google Enchanted Cottage NC and you can find their website. They have tons of stamping and srapbooking stuff. It is well worth the ride if you have the time.
