Wink Going around in circles!

I know that SU has a product to cut circular window frames out of the middle of a card. (The Colluzzle?) I saw a similar product at WalMart for 1/2 the price. It has a center circle that slides around a circular frame. Has anyone used this? Is it OK, or am I better off spending the money and getting the one from SU?

Haven't seen what WalMart has so I'm not going to be a lot of help here but I do have the Coluzzle and it's good as long as the size circle you want is on the template. I scrapbook and make other projects as well as cards so I needed something that would allow me to cut circles any size I wanted to so I got the Fiskars Circle Cutter. It took a couple of tries to get the hang of it but I like it. Used my Joann coupon so it was about $14.

Thank you! I still have my JoAnn coupon, and I think it would be a good idea to get the Fiskars one so I'd be able to cut any size circle. I didn't realize that the SU version only cut certain sizes. I have some great ideas for using it that I just never thought of before. So, I'm excited to get it and find some time to "play" with it.

I used to manage JoAnn Fabrics stores about 22 years ago, back in the old days when they sold just fabric and notions. Now it would be great to get an employee discount on all the craft "stuff" that I buy! Yarn, stamping stuff, jewelry supplies, silk flowers, etc. It's a good thing that they have coupons for us to use!

Thanks again!

Post EK Circle Scissors

I found out quickly that I should not press down too hard on the EK Circle Scissors (which may be the one you saw at Wal-Mart). The blades are very small and break easily. BUT, they are also very sharp so you don't need to press down to make it cut. It works fine as long as I keep my mind on what I'm doing.

I've got a Circle Scissor and while it's fine for larger circles, I found it nearly impossible to use for the smaller ones. Plus...it's really hard to tell which hole you should use to get the size you want...they are all numbered and there is no guide as to which number is which size; you pretty much have to figure that out yourself.

Stampin' Sal, you're welcome! Hope you have fun with the circle cutter. Gee, maybe JoAnn can make like the car companies and offer all of us the employee discounts. Just kidding but I'm glad they run so many sales and coupons.

I bought the Fiskars circle and returned it b/c it was NOT easy to use and would not cut through a lot of thicker papers. I have used the Coluzzle and did not like it. I am a HUGE fan of the Creative Memories circle cutting system. It is the hands-down best, easiest, and most versitile that I have used!~

I have to agree. The Creative Memories circle cutter is the best!

Definitely, the Creative Memories circle and oval cutter system is very easy to use. I really like it.

Well, actually...

I like the Coluzzle better than the CM system. I tried it at a CM crop and found it awkward to use. With the Coluzzle, it's small, easy to store and transport since it all fits into a craft keeper, and I can see exactly where I'm cutting. I've tried a lot of different ones, including the Fiskars cutter, Circle Scissor, one of those tall ones with the glass plate, and CM and I still like the Coluzzle the best.
