Cool Glue Dots

These glue dots are expensive but the glues are too messy. What do some of you prefer to adhere paper to paper. Vellum is another story...Thanks

ordinary double sided adhesive for layers and dimensionals for raised images.
I also saved the scraps when I mount my stamps and use that for dimension.

Thanks for the insight. I guess the dots come off faster than tape is to pull. How funny am I ?

I mainly use glue dots to adhere embelishments.

Yes, I agree... glue dots are AWESOME for embellishments, specifically Primas. I love just pushing the flower on the dot and carefully lifting off. Never have had a problem and my Primas stay put! Also nice for tacking down corners or for extra hold. They are really durable. I like them, but do not use them for everything.

SU just added an extra 50 to all their boxes recently without increasing the price. Cool huh?

If I have a lot of layering to do, I use photo splits (basically pre-cut double sided tape). Lots come to a box. M's just had their's on sale. I like them first of all because they are pre-cut (don't have to worry about unneeded extra lengths of tape), each little square has a waxy tab cover to pull off when it is time to place it. This way you can place adhesive tabs on many card layers and store them until you get back to the project to finish them. The splits come in many brands--I just buy whichever one is the best deal. I find it easier to take them right out of their dispenser box. I use my thumb and index finger to work them quickly onto my cs.

I make my own glue dots for embellishments. Buy glue sticks (for hot glue guns) and with scissors, cut off teensy pieces. Put it on your cardstock and heat from the underside until melted. Put on the embellishment and it is there forever!

I LOVE using glue dots for embellishments. For everything else I use 3M double-sided tape!!!
