Glitter Tape is Frustrating!

I purchased a few rolls of 3/8" glitter tape with a backing that apparently peels off. I love the effect but I can't get the stupid backing off the tape so when I've used it, I've had to tack it to my cardstock with snail adhesive.

Any suggestions?

Its ok to ask here. I havebt tried glittervtaoe but i have had other things with peel off backing that i have never been able to get the strip off. I feel your pain.

The biggest thing to remember with the glitter tape (at least if it's from American Crafts) is the backing is CLEAR. I kept trying to remove the white backing, and that's the back of the glitter.

It is much easier if you're trying to just remove the clear part instead...I usually end up softly bending one of the corners o get it started. It also helps that I have really thin nails.

I have some American Crafts tape, and you are so right! The part you remove is clear. Like you, I first tried to take the white part off, too.

Thank you everyone for your excellent suggestions. Although I did think the white backing should peel away I did discover that the peel-back backing is clear. My daughter seems to be able to get the clear backing started so I think I can manage it now.

Wow! Thanks for the information about the clear backing. I don't have any glitter tape, but I am now informed of how to use it.
