Okay, as I find myself splurging on stamps OTHER than SU...I am having an issue with stamping the back of them. My stamp is the SU personal one with my name...but it is a SU copyright image stamp (to adhere to the angle policy) But now I am using multiple companies' images on my cards...do I stamp the back with EACH company used? What do you all do?

Some people do put the stamp companies on the back of the cards. I use a lot of non SU stamps and I do not put the companies on the back. I don't sell any cards, I only send them out to people. Maybe if you are selling them you need to contact each company to find out their policy about selling cards with their products. But just to use them to send a card to people, I don't think you have to do anything.

I do NOTHING! I usually stamp a little matching stamp on the back and sign it "MeShell" and the year of "manufacture"! Honestly, I kinda get sick of company's telling me what to do with my "talent"!
I ordered one from www.paperangel.com. It just says by Suzanne. I use it on all my cards because they are not good enough to sell yet:( It was only about $16 and they have a great selection.

I ordered a one line stamp from SU with my name on it. I then use a variety of hand stamped by: stamps and put my name underneath it. I do not sell cards and use a variety of stamp sets. I could not see putting copyright of SU on my cards.
I don't sell mine either.
I have an old set from SU, which has things like "Hand Stamped" "Stamp art from the heart", etc. I usually choose one of those. I stamp it in the same color as the cardstock, then use the matching marker and handwrite my name. Then I write the year. I had a 2005 stamp that I used, but now I just write the year.
I sell cards at a small shop. If you're selling, you can check most companies' angel policies on their websites (often it can be found in a FAQ section or an About Us section). If you can't find it on their website, you should really email them and ask. Copyrights are pretty easy to work with, and I really try to respect them.
That being said, I find that few companies require that you put something on the back. Most angel policies are much easier to adhere to than Stampin' Up!, IMO (i.e., you don't need to spend add'l money on a stamp just to use it). HTH - and let me know if you have any more questions, I've done a fair amount of research on it and can point you in more directions if you would like.

I purchase a stamp from this place and this is what my stamp looks like. http://www.stampin.com/online/custom/pp.htm
I choose the one that says "Created by" and had my name put on it.
I got this way before I started selling Rubber Stamps.
I ordred one from www.cistamps.com that is in the shape of a cat with my name on it. They have tons of great stuff and many personalized stamps. Very reasonable prices too. Check it out.
I sell my cards to my coworkers. The only stamps that I use with rules are by Stampin' Up and Cornish Heritage Farms. I have the small font one from CHF and I do stamp both copyrights on the back (if I use both stamp companies on my cards). All my other stamps are open angel policy and don't require anything. I think legally (if selling) you would have to stamp a copyright for each stamp company on the back of your card. That's why I haven't bought any Bella's...they require you to use there stamp also....theirs and SU's copyright stamps are big would look terrible IMO on the back of a card.

Me again! It was kindly pointed out to me that I should be a little more specific re: the SU! stamps; I don't sell those in a permanent shop (against their policy). I was a little ambiguous with that and don't want to give anyone the impression that they can or that I do! ;)

And then there are the companies that don't allow you to mix their images with others if you're selling the cards! I just stick to SU! for about 99% of my stamps -- makes things so much less complicated that way! ;)

There are a lot of companies out there that are very generous with their angel policies. I usually neatly write the name of each company whether they require it or not.
do not worry it you are not selling. Some companies, as you know require it if you sell the item, try to check out their angel policies, most have them on line. I guess do your best. some companies don't want you to use their product with other companies products.
That is one reason I won't use stamps that require another permission stamp on the back. I don't want to have to keep track of the misc. rules for every company. I had loads of stamps at one point and had made a bunch of cards to sell and a demo told me it was against their policies (they changed them later so I could buy another stamp set, stamp the back, only make x number of cards, etc.) It was ridiculous! So, I stick to stamps that are from companies who don't restrict the use of the stamps in regards to selling my creations. I feel like they are helping me out, so I want to be loyal to them for that. I just won't put the names on the back! Only mine, since it was my idea and my work! LOL! Then if the person wants to know where I got the stamp they can ask me.
our local stamp store out here custom makes stamps to order all you have to do is bring the image in black and white and they will make it can be anything you want and actually mine says "hand made by Dawn and it has 2 hands with wrists together i paid 5.99 for it no copy right to tend with i think i am going to bring our family picture to them to make it in stamp for for me
