Default Getting rid of all my stuff - now how do I do it?

I stopped stamping four years ago when I went back to school, and have little desire to go back to it now. So, I've decided to get rid of nearly all my stamps, dies, inks, embellishments, paper, doodads. etc.

If you've made this move in the past, how did you do it?

I don't know what's the best way to try to recoup some of the money I've spent over the years. Is it best to post on Ebay? Here on the buy/sell/trade thread?

Thanks.

I'd start in the BST forum for sure. Just be sure you list each item with its own price. Photos help. Sorry you aren't stamping any longer!

I'm not sure how much money you'll really recoup. You'll need to price it below what you paid for it (probably significantly below), to move it out.

Also suggest Facebook destash groups.

The thing to remember is - do you want to get rid of it? Or do you want to make money? If you want to make money - it will take longer and take more effort.

I'm a big fan of Goodwill. Drop it there and take a reasonable tax write off. Quick, easy, and about the same money in the end. Less hassle. Less work.👍

Any time I have stuff to sell I post it on craigslist for a month then donate the leftovers to the elementary school my daughter went to, the teachers are always happy to get craft stuff.

I like Lydia's suggestion to try BST first here on SCS. You definitely have a captive audience and I'm certain any number of stampers are looking for a good deal. Personally, I've sold hundreds of images on ebay. If you price it right, it will be gone in a matter of hours. It's time consuming and requires one too many trips to the PO, but if you want to make some money on your investment, I would suggest ebay.

Thanks everyone. I've listed my sets on the Buy/Sell page and priced them all at $5. Yes, I'm taking a major price hit for some of them; but I really would rather someone use them than have them sit on my shelf. What doesn't sell I will donate to a friend who is a teacher at a low income school.
